Dalasan’s odds drift for 2019 Caulfield Guineas

Dalasan is a drifting favourite in the Caulfield Guineas after drawing poorly

After connections drew barrier 18 of 19 at this morning’s barrier draw, Dalasan has eased as TAB favourite for Saturday’s Caulfield Guineas from $2.50 before barriers were drawn to $3.

Dalasan was victorious in the Danehill Stakes at Flemington on September 14 before finishing second to Alligator Blood in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude on September 29.

The unbeaten Alligator Blood – barrier 13 of 19 including emergencies – has drifted marginally from $5.50 to $6 since the barrier draw while Kubrick – barrier 17 of 19 – has also got out from $6 to $6.50.

Super Seth finished fifth in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude and has shortened from $13 to $11 along with Express Pass.

Subedar – runner-up in the Dulcify Stakes at Rosehill on September 14 and Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill on September 28 – was $51 before final acceptances this morning and is now a $13 chance at TAB.

Flit was an unlucky ninth in the Thousand Guineas Prelude at Caulfield on September 29 and is the $2 favourite at TAB to win Saturday’s Thousand Guineas ahead of Blue Diamond winner Lyre and Missile Mantra (both $7).

This year’s TAB Stradbroke Handicap winner Trekking is the $2.80 favourite to win Saturday’s Schillaci Stakes with the winner assured of a slot in the TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on October 19.
