Chautauqua is the outright favourite in The Everest markets
Champion sprinter Chautauqua has firmed further into favouritism for The Everest and could overtake Winx in popularity.
Online bookmaker sportsbet slashed Chautauqua’s price from $6.50 into $4.60 following his stunning win in the T.J. Smith Stakes.
A raft of bets came for the grey and he is gaining ground on Winx.
The superstar mare remains the best backed runner and is equal second favourite, at $8.00, with She Will Reign.
English, who was a game second to Chautauqua also tightened from $34 to $15 for the $10 million Randwick sprint.
