Chautauqua has been well backed to break his drought on Saturday
Chautauqua is the two time reigning winner of the TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) and Sportsbet.com.au punters are thinking he can make it a three peat this Saturday at Randwick.
The star galloper hasn’t won for nearly 12 months, but his efforts this time in have been outstanding, the latest coming in the George Ryder (1500m) when chasing Winx. He opened the $4.80 favourite to win the TJ this Saturday and has already had support, into $4.60.
Astern, who is first up, is at $6 off the back of just a fair piece of work at Newcastle on Saturday. Hot on his heels is another three year old, and last start Galaxy winner, Russian Revolution. He is at $7.00.
There has been a nibble for a couple at a price, including Malaguerra ($11-$10), Japonisme ($34-$26), Target In Sight ($101-$81) and English ($11-$10).
