Blue Point has opened favourite for this weekends Diamond Jubilee Stakes
It’s unsure whether Blue Point will indeed back up in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) this Saturday night at Royal Ascot but he is the clear favourite with Sportsbet.com.au.
If he was to line up, he would be attempting to do the Kings Stand/Jubilee double, a feat that hasn’t been done for over a decade since Aussie sprinter Choisir done the deed. As it stands, Blue Point is the $3 favourite and if confirmed to run, I dare say that price will firm in.
City Light ($11-$9) has had specking, while the in form Invincible Army is friendless in early betting, out to $5.50 after opening $4.60. Last years winner The Tin Man is rock solid at $13.
