The James Cummings-trained Bivouac is headed to The TAB Everest at Royal Randwick on October 17 with Godolphin confirming the four-year-old entire will run in their slot for the world’s richest race on turf.
Bivouac – currently $11 at TAB for The Everest – has raced 17 times for six wins including two at Group 1 level, three seconds and three thirds.
Bivouac was victorious in last year’s Golden Rose over eventual TAB Everest winner Yes Yes Yes and claimed his second Group 1 last autumn in the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington on March 7.
Bivouac resumed on September 19 with a third placing to Classique Legend and Eduardo in The Shorts over 1100 metres at Randwick.
TAB’s representative for The TAB Everest, Nature Strip, is currently the $3.50 favourite.
