Bet One- Win- Scone Race Five Number 7 Dame Kiri:
I don’t think she has to be a world beater to take out this event. Tough debut winner at Tamworth prior to racing over 1000m here where she placed behind a potential city class horse in I Am A Cool Kid. Should get a lovely run off a likely hot speed and Greg Ryan jumps back on. She’ll do me in the first leg of the quaddie.
Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $2.8 (Sportsbet)
Bet Two- Win- Scone Race Eight Number 8 Kulnura:
Good race to end the card, but I can’t believe this horse isn’t nearly favourite. I like Smith as a horse, but $2.80 is short enough for a horse who is deep into a prep whereas Kulnura has upside. Arguably should have won last time but wanted to lay in and was a horror to ride for Louise Day. Digger McLellan on now and Blinkers on first time to hopefully straighten him up.
Suggested Bet: $25 Win at $4.20 (Sportsbet)
Bet Three- Win- Moruya Race Five Number 1 Napoli:
I must be missing something here. We’ve got a horse that’s in form with decent Provincial form next to his name, he’s hard fit, Heywood is riding in great form, he finally gets Blinkers on for the first time…why is he $3.90? He should be $2.50, perhaps shorter, against this lot. If he puts it together, he’ll be winning.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $3.9 (Crownbet)
Bet Four- Each Way- Warracknabeal Race Six Number 10 Disco Rebel:
Why on earth is this girl $31+ to win. She should be around the $10-$15 mark, so clear overs. Loved her debut win before she raced in a pretty strong race at Morphettville where she was run off her legs when they dashed for home but she picked up and was really good to the line and through it. 1800m a big tick and always respect Sue Jaensch runners.
Suggested Bet: $10 Win/$15 Place at $26/$5.5 (Neds)
Bet Five- Win- Warracknabeal Race Nine Number 11 Champagne Friday:
Looks a lovely race for this girl, trained by Darren Weir. She took a while to break the maiden tag but it finally came out of the way last time out over the mile at Echuca when getting the lovely sit off the pace and once she got clear air, it was game over. Now she has a win on the board, hopefully she can go on with it.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $220
