Oakbank
$100 Win Killarney Kid R1 @ $2.25 (TAB)
Oakbank Overview:
Not the most inspiring day of racing tomorrow, so not complicating things and having a couple of bets, starting with Killarney Kid, who I think is the good thing of the day in the opener at Oakbank. He made them look like camels last time out at Terang, sitting off a good speed before Pateman just allowed him to amble up to the tired leaders and the margin was 14, but really could have been 20+. Surprised there is black figures on offer because with clean jumping, he’s better than these, and from all reports did school there impressively during the week.

Beauty Charisma R1 Win
Mr Stunning R3 Win
Looking Good R4 Place
Beauty Generation R7 Win
Sha Tin Overview:
Interesting first starter in the opening race with Beauty Charisma, who raced in Australia under Fifth Amendment. He won 2/2 under Tony Vasil and looked a city class horse of the future. Hong Kong got their hands on him and he’s trialled up well leading up to start one over there with Purton to steer. The straight trial two back not as impressive was the trial win on the dirt when beating Mr Stunning, who looks ready to rock and roll in the third and am confident he can get the job done over Beat The Clock, especially if Purton can take advantage of the inside gate. Looking Good wasn’t suited at all by the slow tempo last time but clocked some really good late splits when closing off from off the speed. Gets on with only 47.5kg after the claim for Jackie Chan and can roll forward. In a race that doesn’t appear strong speed wise, he could take some beating. Beauty Generation doesn’t need explaining. One of the best milers in the world and should bolt up again.
