Saturday’s Group One Doncaster Mile looks a wide open betting race which is reflected in the market although punters have singled out two runners in the race and both are 3YO’s on the minimum weights.
The two best backed runners for the G1 Doncaster Mile since final field markets opened on Tuesday have been 3YO’s Fundamentalist and Brutal who have both received heavy support.
Fundamentalist drew well and with 49kg one her back punters are hoping she can give the field a merry dance and get the job done in the $3m event and has been $13 into $10.
Brutal the other well supported three-year-old has been the best backed runner in the race despite drawing a horror barrier in gate 21 but is aided by experienced jockey Glen Boss who takes the ride. He has been $7.00 into $5.50 with a flood of money continuing for him at the shortened quote.
