A high-class group of sprinters is shaping as the likely field for Saturday’s Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes at Flemington, with final acceptances still to be confirmed.
Among those expected to line up is Giga Kick for Clayton Douglas with Ethan Brown booked.
He is set to be joined by fellow Group 1 winners Baraqiel, Benedetta, Beiwacht, Tentyris and Marhoona, giving the race its trademark depth.
Bjorn Baker’s promising Caballus remains a possible runner, while Ciaron Maher could also be represented by Military Tycoon.
The popular My Gladiola is another likely contender as the sprint picture continues to firm.
