Talented three-year-old Private Eye continued on his winning ways at Rosehill on Saturday and with that cemented himself a shot at the rich Golden Eagle in the Spring.
Private Eye made it five wins from six starts and took his earnings close to a quarter of a million dollars when he won at BM70 level at Rosehill on Saturday against the older horses.
The win meant the horse has now won five straight having finished mid field on debut at Wyong where he got back and was unable to make ground.
Connections opted not to take the horse to Queensland where he was eligible for the Magic Millions Guineas having been a Magic Millions qualified horse being sold at Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale for $62,500 to Proven Thoroughbreds.
Joe Pride will now give Private Eye a freshen-up for a short autumn campaign, with the long-term target being the $7.5 million Golden Eagle (1500m) for 4YOs in November.
