Racing Victoria veterinarians inspected all horses in Saturday’s Cox Plate (2040m) at The Valley with two leading contenders needing to be re-examined after showing signs of lameness.
Aidan O’Brien’s two Cox Plate horses Magic Wand and Armory will be re-examined by veterinarians tomorrow.
Magic Wand presented with lameness in her right fore limb while Armory presented with a degree of lameness in his left fore limb.
Armory is the current second favourite in Cox Plate odds at $5.50 whilst Magic Wand is one of the outsiders of the field at $27.

RV will provide a further update tomorrow following the completion of the re-inspections which will be conducted by a panel of three veterinarians (two from Racing Victoria and one independent).
All other horses have been passed fit to race.
