Bet One- Win- Newcastle Race Two Number 6 Don’t Doubt Arthur:
Was keen on this girl on Friday at Muswellbrook but was pulled out and instead runs here. Two career runs in the Spring were quite good, both at Muswellbrook. Been given a good break and her two trials leading in have been quite good. The Tenor looks the only other winning chance, so back them both and can’t go wrong.

Bet Two- Win- Newcastle Race Three Number 5 Thor’s Thunder:
Perennial placegetter, but there is no depth at all. He’s got the raced brigade covered IMO and the Sargent first starter has done nothing at the trials. He’s turned it up a couple of times but this does look his race, and very rare to see Gwenda Markwell bring a horse to Newcastle. Only bad luck beats him for mine.

Bet Three- Win- Wellington Race Three Number 7 Molasses:
Gee $4 is a bit short for him, so I think take the tote and you’ll get better. Dennis Bush has this bloke going really well at the moment. Eye catching resumption over 900m here before going to the Cannonball at Coonamble where he got back and worked home strongly in a race where the form has already been franked. Should park off a hot speed here and have last look.

Bet Four- Win- Townsville Race One Number 2 Dancing Diva:
I think this girl should be a clear fav personally. Was just under three weeks between runs when bolting up at this track/distance, getting the ideal drag up before Thomson asked the filly for a bigger effort and she put them away quite well. She’s ticked the hard 1200m box whereas Our Alicia’s Lane has to be a query.

Bet Five- Win- Townsville Race Five Number 1 Craiglea Deken:
I think the WFA scale really helps this horse so I’ll just lean his way. Lumped the 63kg three weeks back over 1400m here where I thought Bogenhuber gave the veteran every chance but he had to the give the first two who beat him home 9kg and 8kg respectively. No chance. This looks ideal for him…just want the speed to be on.
