One Flemington punter will be kicking themselves after cashing out of a 5-leg multi that would have seen them take home $347,490.
The punter still managed to collect a very tidy profit after the first three legs of their multi bet got up, including a $13 winner when Sword of Light won the 6th race on the Flemington card.
But nerves certainly got the better of the TAB punter who cashed out to collect $6719.09 before seeing last years Melbourne Cup winner bolt in.
By this stage it was time for the punter to look away. Hardham jumped at $7.50 and when he hit the front 200m out, he never looked like losing.
The painstaking result will be hard to swallow for this punter who could have walked away with an extra $340,000 had he let it ride!
