Premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller has claimed his third Doncaster Mile with Sacred Falls beating glamour colt Pierro in the $2 million race at Randwick on Saturday.
In an all three-year-old finish, Sacred Falls drove through on the inside section of the track to overhaul the favourite with the filly Norzita taking third.

Sacred Falls’ victory sealed a red-letter day for Waller who also trained Royal Descent to win the Australian Oaks.
The Kiwi-bred also continued jockey Tommy Berry’s stellar autumn carnival after his Golden Slipper win on Overreach.
“The two races you want to win are the Golden Slipper and the Doncaster and I’ve won them both in the one season,” Berry said.
Waller said Sacred Falls had entered the picture as a Doncaster chance after his Rosehill Guineas placing behind the exciting New Zealand colt It’s A Dundeel.
“Nothing went right early in his preparation,” he said. “But I knew after the Guineas I had him where he needed to be so I backed off him.”
Norzita ran bravely for trainer Bart Cummings, hitting the lead at the 200m, but she was unable to fend off the challenge from the colts.
Streama did best of the older brigade in finishing fourth.
