7 Truant (Bet Now: $7.50) looks here to play. Team Hayes trained colt that debuts off the back of three jumpouts, the latest seeing him win at Werribee and move nicely. Zahra rode in that jumpout and he rides here, so happy to have him on top.

12 Natural Fling (Bet Now: $2.10) is a Team McEvoy trained filly that debuts. She has won both jumpouts in readiness for start one and each time has looked impressive, so keen to see how she goes at start one. Market will be the guide.

6 King Koruna (Bet Now: $18.00) should be better for the debut run, which came over 1000m at Mornington where he found them a bit sharp but stayed on and was far from disgraced. Fitter, more ground, he’s in the mix.

13 Simurgh (Bet Now: $2.45) is a clear top seed for mine. Former Irish stayer that made his Aussie debut over the mile at Pakenham, working home quite strongly from off speed when second to Factcheck, a nice horse. Fitter and up in trip, think it all points to him.

5 Dreams Come True (Bet Now: $12.00) has had a couple of runs back, both at the mile, and should appreciate getting to 2000m. Her last run saw her sit off speed and chase well in the straight behind Fiddler’s Green. Hard fit now, she’s a key chance.

6 Haaracaine (Bet Now: $9.50) should appreciate getting to 2000m after racing over 1800m two weeks back at Flemington when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat behind Mr Blunt. He’s won up to 2500m so the rise to 2000m is ideal and he has good upside to come.

8 Rising Star (Bet Now: $6.50) should be better for the Aussie debut, which came over 1400m at Pakenham when off speed and worked to the line really well in defeat behind Silver Bullet. Better for the run, she appeals.

2 Jett Smash (Bet Now: $4.50) steps up to the mile off a sequence of wins, the latest win being over 1400m at Sandown when leading throughout and had enough in hand to score. Good racing style, and if he gets front end control, 1600m should be fine.

5 Bona Storza (Bet Now: $12.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 2000m in the SA Oaks where she got back to near last in the run and did make up ground but was never really a winning threat. Back to this level and trip, she’s a knockout hope.

7 Two To Tango (Bet Now: $4.00) is one of the hardest to beat after running second to Conrad Connie two weeks ago at Flemington, a horse some are saying is a Group l winner in waiting (which is ridiculous IMO), but this girl did close off nicely. If she can settle closer, she’ll take holding out.

4 Chateau Eze (Bet Now: $6.50) is capable with her best. She ran at Mornington three weeks ago and was okay without setting the world on fire after getting a decent run in transit. If she brings her best, she can win.

2 Prestige Snitzel (Bet Now: $41.00) steps up to 1400m after resuming over 1200m at Mornington. She was back near last in the run and did make up ground but was never a threat. Can settle closer in the run and be effective late.

2 Farhh Flung (Bet Now: $13.00) steps up to the mile after resuming over 1400m two weeks ago at Flemington where he just found them a bit sharp and was far from disgraced in defeat I thought. Much better set up here…might need another run but he has a touch of quality about him in a race like this.

7 Oceana Dream (Bet Now: $2.25) was a first up winner at the track/distance four weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. Good upside/improvement to come and despite the wide gate, commands respect.

11 Dragoon (Bet Now: $23.00) steps up to the mile after resuming over 1200m at Mornington where he found them a bit sharp but kept on and was far from disgraced behind Celsius Star. Fitter and up in trip, he’s a knockout hope.

1 Bustling… (Bet Now: $5.00) is he back? He resumes for Price/Kent, having not raced since the 2024 Run To The Rose when not 100% right. He could have easily been retired after that but connections have played the waiting game and I think he has jumped out super for the return so keen to see how he goes. But I think he can resume a winner.

11 Along The River (Bet Now: $6.00) is flying. Loved the way he let down to win last Wednesday on the Heath track, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. Good test here but think he can measure up.

14 Bazaball Rewarded (Bet Now: $13.00) is a short course specialist for Kelvin Southey that resumes. She loves the 1000m, especially at Mornington, but her rating has got to a point now where she has to come to town. Jumped out well, will press forward and only run well.

10 Capper Thirtynine (Bet Now: $5.50) let down strongly to win at Flemington a fortnight back, He got into a sweet sit just off speed before angling clear and knuckled down strongly late to score. With a soft run in transit, he’ll only run well, especially with the claim.

3 Green Fly (Bet Now: $7.00) is several weeks between runs since contesting the Muswellbrook Cup where he got a mile out of his ground but had to like the way he finished his race off in defeat. If within range, he has the finale to take this out.

9 Give Me Space (Bet Now: $5.50) was ridden with intent two weeks back at Flemington, getting stuck wide no cover for the trip and the hard run told late behind Big Swinger. Better run in transit here, he can run a much improved race.

6 Immediacy (Bet Now: $6.00) comes back to 2000m after racing over 2400m in the Mornington Cup. He landed on speed and seemed to have his chance but for mine, he just didn’t run the trip out. Like him back in trip and with a more patient steer, he can win this.

8 Pounding (Bet Now: $5.50) was given an all time ride by Nolen in the Mornington Cup and really deserved the win but just couldn’t quit see it through when a narrow second to Kings Valley. Bursting to win and commands respect.

9 Virtuous Circle (Bet Now: $31.00) is a Liam Howley trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since July 19 when down the track over 2800m in the Flemington Cup. Dare say that is the path he is heading down again but, he has trialled up very well, so watch the market.

13 Actuality (Bet Now: $10.00) comes back to 1100m after racing over 1200m at Mornington when hailed as the winner when asked for the effort but had to settle for a narrow second. Bursting to win, she’s hard to beat against these.

7 Runlikenencryption (Bet Now: $18.00) steps up to 1100m after racing over 1000m at Mornington three weeks back when just off speed and took a while to get going but was pretty good late. Like her up in distance, and her best is clearly good enough.

12 Tournelle (Bet Now: $12.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1000m at Sandown where she found them a bit sharp but kept chasing in a pretty good effort. If she can settle closer, she’s dangerous.
