6/9/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Belmont, Farnley Stakes day

Eight races have been set down for Belmont this Satuday for Farnley Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out three metres for the entire circuit.

1 Rock Fest… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is this the three year old to go down the Guineas/Northerly path? Not sure, but it was very hard not to be impressed by his debut win here last Wednesday. He didn’t beat much but he made an absolute mess of them. Keen to see how he goes in a race which has good depth to it.

4 Aristry In Motion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to town off the back of a maiden win at Bunbury where he was a very short priced elect and the support was justified, leading throughout and winning by a space. Good test here but cindieent he measures up.

7 Bridgeport (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track behind Rock Fest last Wednesday in the race mentioned above. He got back off speed and into a decent spot and tried hard but just lacked the finale to go with the impressive winner. Had trialled well enough leading in. Can run top four.

1 On Patrol (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks really well placed here. He ran over 1400m last Saturday when off speed, spotting those in front a start, but did like the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Doctor Jay. Racing well, bursting to win and he gets a great chance here.

2 Corn Cob (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t been too bad this time in for Team Gangemi and strikes a winnable race. He came back in trip last Saturday over 1200m and was solid late without threatening behind Scully. Back up in trip and with a more positive ride, he can threaten.

9 Belle Journee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Chris Stelmach trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since April 3 over the mile at Pinjarra when wide no cover and just felt the pinch late in the piece behind Lombadina. No public trials but can sprint well fresh so watch betting.

5 Sixinch Heels (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can put her hand up for some blacktype this prep provided she continues on from last prep and I suspect she will. She was very good when last in work for Simon Miller, plugging together a host wins before a second placing and then spelled. Looks to have trialled up nicely and should take beating against these.

3 Immortal Bliss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is 2/2 this time in and has to be respected for Team Williams. Spanked them fresh at Northam before proving that was no fluke with an impressive display at Belmont. Good test here, but hard to knock the way he’s going.

6 Under Influence (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well and knocking on the door. He ran over this track/distance two weeks back when off speed and worked home with real purpose late in the piece when second. If within range, he has the finale to be some sort of threat.

6 Ilgiro Delmondo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in a purple patch for Justine Erkelens and is the one to beat for mine. Track/distance winner from last Wednesday when giving them a start and a beating, handling the wet track best to score. Firmer footing should be fine and hard to knock the way she’s racing.

1 I Love Your Smile (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came a fortnight back over the mile here. She got a fair way out of her ground and while she was never a a winning threat, I didn’t mind the way she finished her race off in defeat. Good upside to come, she’s right in the mix.

5 Arnray (Bet Now:  $SP.00) caused an upset last week at Bunbury Fibre Sand, but #They had something on him because he was specked at odds and duly saluted. Not sure he’s good enough to win but can run top four.

9 King Adviso (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty with a good racing style and for mine seems the each way play. He won two on the bounce before racing over this track/distance two weeks ago where he led and gave a decent kick from the front but just felt the pinch late when a narrow third to Desert Nymph. Just needs a cheap furlong and he’ll be hard to get past.

8 Deferred (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks ready. He ran last Saturday at this track/distance where he was held up at times and when clear, he worked home with real purpose late when a close up fourth to Scully. If the breaks go his way, he is certainly good enough to take this out.

4 Rissoles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Luke Fernie trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since March 1 when far from disgraced in the Marjorie Charleson Classic when a close up fifth to Twain’s Angel. Good fresh record and loves Belmont, so watch betting.

9 Great Emotion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) gets the nod in an open race. Michael Grantham trained mare that hasn’t raced since April 3 when an I,pressure winner at Pinjarra and was spelled going out on that high. Looks to have trialled well for the return and despite depth to this line up, I think she can measure up.

2 Terratif (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing very well at the moment for Team Williams and has to be respected. She ran over 1400m here two weeks ago where she got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. She’ll be strong late and is very genuine.

4 Speak To Me (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Peter Giadresco trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since May 11 at Northam where he was a bit on the plain side and after two runs, he was spelled. His best is good enough to threaten so watch betting.

I’ve been with 3 Fluro Neuro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) in both runs back and happy to stick. He has been runner up each time, first up in the Belmont Newmarket before the Idyllic Prince two weeks ago where he tried hard but couldn’t quite reel in Phanta. Hard fit now, up to 1400m, he’ll take beating.

10 Russian To The Bar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Luke Fernie trained gelding that resumes. He hasn’t raced since Feb 1 over the mile at Ascot when fourth to Bonjoy, who was flying at the time. 1400m fresh signals intent and his trial was quite good. Watch betting.

8 Kaptain Kaos (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect. He’s flying at present, his latest run being a few weeks ago in the Blue Spec where he chased with purpose in the straight but found one better in Sensessional, who would be hard to beat against these. Form reads well, he’s in the mix.

2 Street Band (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win and he gets a fab chance here IMO. Trevor Andrews trained four year old that has been runner up his past two, the latest being at this track/distance last Saturday when off speed and worked home with purpose late when second to Arcadia Knight. Only has to hold his form and he’ll take beating here.

4 Hostile Talk (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after racing over 1400m here two weeks ago, getting a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off when third to Cool Memory. Unknown at 1600m but is racing as if he’ll like it and gets Pike.

5 Kelvinator (Bet Now:  $SP.00) jumps straight to the mile after racing over 1200m last Saturday here. He led and just found them too sharp when down the track behid Scully. If he gets front end control, his best is good enough to be dangerous.

LONG SHOT: Race Five Number 9 King Adviso
