Ten races will be run and won at Rosehill on Saturday for Winter Stakes Day. The weather is fine, the track is heavy (8) and the rail is out eight metres from the 1000m-Winning Post; Out seven metres for the remainder.

1 Raging Force (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a rocket and no reason why he can’t win again after what he did last Wednesday on the Kenso, leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win quite impressively. He’s a horse clearly heading in the right direction and looks the leader. From there, takes beating.

12 Lull (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is steadily getting better for James Cummings. She was solid on debut at Canterbury before going to Kembla where she landed near the speed and knuckled down with purpose late to win well and ran solid overall time so keen to see how she goes.

6 Barking Mad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beautifully bred colt for Chris Waller that is on debut. He’s had a couple of trials under the belt this time in to get ready for start one, the latest trial seeing him run third in a good looking piece of work. Watch betting.

5 African Daisy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) loves getting her toe in and maps ideally. She ran in the Midway last Saturday when on speed throughout and seemed to have her chance but just weakened late. She loves wet tracks, she maps ideally and her best is clearly good enough.

1 Iron Man (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is finding it hard to win but he does come back to Midway grade. He ran over this track/distance last Saturday and closed with purpose but couldn’t quite get there when fourth to Lady Extreme. That form does read well for a Midway.

10 Close Encounter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to Midway grade for Kerry Parker after a win at Nowra last time out where she gave them a start and a beating, letting down with purpose late to win and win well. Good test here, but think she can measure up.

6 Exit Fee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat for Danny Williams. This gelding resumed in the Highway two weeks ago where he got into a decent spot off speed and was trucking before being clicked up, finding clear air and loomed to win but couldn’t quite get past Calico Miss. Better for the run, he appeals.

7 Powder Man (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned well and should be suited up to 1200m after resuming in the Highway over 1100m at Randwick a few weeks back where he got back to near last in the run but really liked the way he closed his race off in defeat. If within range, he has the finale to win.

10 Let’s Go Brandon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. He has won his past two for Wayne Hudd, both at Goulburn over the short course, producing sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in. If 1200m is fine, he’s dangerous.

3 Stagnum (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a definite improver for Team Hawkes. He resumed behind Winning Proposal three weeks back here. He got a fair way off speed and worked home with real purpose I thought behind Winning Proposal. Likely spots them a start again but should be strong late.

1 Codetta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. She ran over 1100m here three weeks back where she did early work in the run and the effort just told late in the piece behind Winning Proposal. Hard fit, better run in transit, she takes beating.

2 Smashing Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has an engine under the hood and has to be given some respect. He ran two weeks back at Randwick where he had little luck in behind them so forgive and forget the run. He is a quriky horse, but his best is clearly good enough to take this out.

1 Storm The Ramparts (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Joe Pride and is a definite winning chance. He found the front pretty comfortably two weeks ago at Randwick and for the most part, he looked the winner, but was nabbed on the peg by Lulumon. Good racing style, hard fit and in form, he appeals.

6 Tarpaulin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a James Cummings trained three year old that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Oct 19 when down the track in the Gothic at Caulfield behind Lofty Arch. Given a good break, has trialled well and has a touch of quality, so watch betting.

2 Deprivation (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Nathan Doyle after a solid effort in a strong race at Canterbury. He was near the speed throughout and tried hard but just lacked the class to go with them late behind World Alliance. Back to this level, he can run an improved race.

10 Savagery Vibe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a few loose screws upstairs but does have an engine under the hood. She ran fourth to She’s An Artist two weeks back, working home well but was never getting past the dominant winner. Not sure she turns the tables but I say she runs well regardless.

1 Hi Dubai (Bet Now:  $SP.00) lands on speed and will run a beauty, as seen two weeks back at Randwick when near the front and she tried her guts out but just couldn’t quite get there in a close finish, running third to Lulumon. Good racing style for the Rosehill 1100m, she has to be respected.

7 Useapin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Chris Waller trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since April 9 at Hawkesbury when a solid fourth over 1100m. Looks to have trialled well for the return and has home track advantage.

15 Good Banter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for the O’Shea/Charlton stable. She ran behind Shohisha a few weeks back at Randwick when off a moderate speed and just lacked the change up speed but she stayed on and was pretty good in defeat I thought. More genuine tempo here, she can win.

14 Gentileschi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be fine at 2000m after racing over 1800m at Randwick a fortnight back. She got into a good spot near the speed and she tried hard but had no answers late for She’s Unusual. 2000m is fine for her IMO, good upside and has a touch of quality about her.

13 Fay’s Angels (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little while but is racing very well at present. She ran behind She’s Unusual two weeks back at Randwick where the race shape was against her but she was never really a factor. That said, she stayed on and was game in defeat. Concedes a start again but should be strong late and is a must for exotics.

2 Elouyou (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could be one of the best on the program despite being beaten 11.5L last start. That came several weeks ago at Sandown behind Magnaspin, where the track was just far too firm. He’ll love getting his toe in here and strikes a very winnable race.

4 Fleetwood (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited back to 1200m after racing over 1300m at Randwick a few weeks ago when off speed and chased well but didn’t quite finish the race off behind Headley Grange. Like him back in trip and does bring strong form lines.

7 Cloudland (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Swiss Ace that resumes for Kris Lees. He is first up, having not raced since April 1 at Rosehill when down the track behind Green Fly. He is a bomb fresh horse and has trialled up very well for the return.

13 Green Fly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Hollywood Hero race from a few weeks back at Randwick. I was quite keen on his chances but he was four weeks between runs and I just think on testing ground, he was unable to pick his feet up late in the piece. Better for the run, he appeals.

2 Welwal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a quirky horse but he has found positive form and strikes a winnable race after his effort two weeks ago at Randwick in the Civic, working home strongly from off the speed to finish second to Headley Grange. He was several weeks between runs so with upside/improvement, he appeals.

8 Whinchat (Bet Now:  $SP.00) lands on speed and will give his all. He lobbed outside the speed in the Civic and was game in defeat but just couldn’t quite finish the job when fifth to Headley Grange. If he finds the front and gets some form of control, he’ll be around the mark.

12 Sacred Rocks (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to keep winning. Ciaron Maher trained mare that is 2/2 this time in, winning fresh at Sale before a strong win here two weeks ago, getting better as the race went on to score. The rise to 1400m is ideal and this race is no harder. Keen.

5 Kerguelen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. He was a strong winner here first up before going to Randwick two weeks ago where he seemingly had his chance but was just flat late behind Accredited. Like him up to 1400m, hard fit, he appeals.

11 Anythink Goes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door. He ran a game second a few weeks back at Randwick when off speed and chased strongly but couldn’t quite get there when second to Thunderlips. Hard fit now, can settle closer and be dangerous late.

BEST BET: Race Eight Number 2 Elouyou

NEXT BEST: Race Ten Number 12 Sacred Rocks

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 15 Good Banter
