30/8/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Eagle Farm

11 Arisphere (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. She is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when near the speed and was there to win but just felt the pinch late. Gets a kind map here, in well after the claim…hard to beat.

8 Vindicta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has won his past two, the latest being at this track/distance, the latest win being four weeks ago when giving them a start and a beating, producing nice change up speed to finish best. Hard to knock the way he’s racing.

17 Another Cognac (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is having his first proper prep for Team Sears so he creates interest. He resumes, having not raced since Feb 8 at Doomben when off speed and was never a factor behind Termagant. He is a horse who can sprint well fresh and has trialled nicely.

1 Hype (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty and comes to town after a Mackay Cup triumph where he got a 12/10 ride by Wiggins and he was far too good in the run to the line. Runs on the board, hard fit and in form, he appeals as a threat.

2 The Right Way (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little while but he is racing in career best form for Greg Wright and has to be rated as one of the hardest to beat after a strong win two weeks ago at Doomben. Admittedly the pattern was in his corner but even allowing for that, he was quite dominant. Tough customer, he has to be respected.

3 Tapildoodledo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will stay all day. He did that behind The Right Way at Doomben a fortnight back, fighting on really well without really threatening when third. I think he can be ridden with more intent early and still be effective late.

1 Cavalry Man (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating here for Lindsay Gough. He ran two weeks ago over the mile at Doomben when making a sustained run and for the most part, was hailed as the winner, but was nabbed late by Walsh Bay. Has that hard run under the belt and the rise to 1800m is ideal.

5 Aolani (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at 1800m but hard to knock the way she’s racing. She ran in the Walsh Bay race from a fortnight back. She landed on speed and tried her guts out but just couldn’t quite get there and felt the pinch late. I think with a more patient steer, she can bounce back.

8 Moon Sweeper (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Matty Dunn since racing in a Highway at Randwick over 1800m. He got into a decent spot near the speed and was there to win but on the testing track, he couldn’t pick his feet up late in the piece. Fresh legs is fine and strikes a winnable race.

7 Lonesome Soul (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well for Greg Wright. She ran over 1350m a fortnight back at Doomben where she was one of the runs of the meeting against the pattern, working home strongly from the back when third to Cyber City. If within range, she has the finale to take this out.

4 Cyber City… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) what on earth was last start two weeks ago. $51 SP and he led throughout at Doomben, giving them an absolute spanking. The pattern was in his corner, but still…he was so sharp. If he can repeat the dose, they’re cooking with gas.

9 Turbo Torque (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the better maidens going around. Stuart Kendrick trained three year old that ran in a Sunny Coast maiden last start and I thought was given none by Maloney after getting back. More positive ride, he can win.

1 Cunnamulla Fella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. He won three weeks ago at this track/distance, getting the suck run in transit and saved the ground when making his winning run, which was the difference between he and Yet He Moves. But, his confidence is up, he can win again.

3 Free Carry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does seem short enough but he is a progressive animal for Tony Gollan that is heading in the right direction. Resumed with an absolute bang three weeks ago over 1400m here, sitting on speed before being clicked up and away he went to win well. Hard to beat once again.

9 Gulf Of Tomini (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Symons/Laxon trained galloper that resumes. He is first up and is having his first run for the stable, formerly with Kristen Buchanan. Better suited over a bit further but 1600m fresh I do like for this horse. Not sure he wins but can run top four.

2 Warby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Tony Gollan trained gelding that resumes. He is first up since April 26 over 1300m here when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat behind stablemate Rockribbed. Looks to have trialled up well and does race nicely on the fresh side.

10 Town Crier (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came six weeks ago over this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and gave a strong kick from the front but first up, condition just gave way late behind Bullion Boy. Fitter, he can bounce back.

4 Battlefield (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after resuming over 1350m at Doomben where the pattern was against him and while he was never threatening, I didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Slippin Jimmy. Good record at 1200m, he’ll be strong late.

7 Queen Air (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the more interesting runners on the program. She has very good staying potential, as seen when last in work, and there was talk she could be a Cups horse. 1400m is short of her best, but has trialled well and she’ll launch late.

6 Slippin Jimmy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a handy animal for David Vandyke. He led throughout two weeks back at Doomben and yes, the pattern was in his corner, but even allowing for that, he was impressive and strong to the line in saluting. Good test here, but think he can measure up.

2 Kronenbourg (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Tony Gollan trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since April 26 at Eagle Farm when producing an end of prep run when down the track behind stablemate Tenzing. 1400m fresh I like and he’s trialled well for the return.

1 Magnatear (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks hard to beat for Team Freedman after resuming a few weeks ago over 1100m at Rosehill when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat when third to impressive winner Ravenclaw. Fitter and up in trip, he takes beating.

7 Keitel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1350m at Doomben behind Blazen Boots. He was short in betting and did seem to have his chance but was never really a factor, beaten just over a length. Fitter, up in trip, bigger track, he deserves another look.

10 Blazen Boots (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned well and is a leading contender after a first up win over 1350m at Doomben when on speed throughout and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but she found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good test here against likely types but confident she can measure up.

20 Mad Darcey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a David Pfieffer trained mare that resumes and rarely runs poorly at around this level. She hasn’t raced since June 8 at Wyong when down the track and looked a tired horse. Given a good break and liked the way she moved in trial work.

4 Ouroboros (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at the end of 1200m but he is the likely leader and out of trouble, he’ll take running down, as seen first up a fortnight back at Doomben when leading and was hailed as the winner but was nabbed on the peg by Spywire. He’ll look the winner for a long way.

12 Shot Of Whiskey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was kept quite safe in betting when resuming over 1000m here three weeks ago. He seemingly got a decent enough run near the speed and just felt the pinch late. Fitter, previous second up winner, he’s in the mix.

NEXT BEST: Race Four Number 7 Lonesome Soul

LONG SHOT: Race Ten Number 20 Mad Darcey
