2 Obambulate (Bet Now: $4.40) should take beating for Busuttin/Young. Strong win over this trip at Pakenham last time, finding plenty under pressure to fend them off and get the job done. Colt heading in the right direction and has the 1200m win/run under the belt.

1 Crank (Bet Now: $4.20) comes straight to town for Team Freedman off the back of a debut win at Terang where he had the suck run in behind before angling clear and he got better as the race went on to win and win well. Tick over jumpout was strong and that win was over 1000m on a testing track, so 1200m here should be fine.

7 Star Of Macedon (Bet Now: $4.20) was game in defeat on debut last week at Seymour when wide no cover on speed and fought on bravely in defeat when second. Better run in transit this time around, he’s dangerous.

3 Swift Force (Bet Now: $1.55) to do what she did three weeks ago here. Jump, run and be too good. She was just too speedy for them last start and now with the 3kg claim, I don’t see an extra 100m being an issue, she’s the one to beat.

6 Luna Cat (Bet Now: $15.00) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1100m during the Warrnambool Carnival. She got off speed and was held up before angling clear and drove hard late, just missing when second to Salsa Fellow. Racing well and this looks a race well within reach.

10 Southern Crescent (Bet Now: $16.00) is a couple of weeks between runs since a win at Casterton, handling the wet track best to win and win well. She ticked the 1200m box there in style…doubt she wins this but can run first four.

5 Yes Yoshi (Bet Now: $4.80) steps up to 1400m after racing over 1200m down the straight at Flemington two weeks ago. He just got too far out of his ground, like he did the start prior at Bendigo, and like at Bendigo, worked home strongly. He’ll eat up more ground and I think will appreciate getting to a bending track.

10 Undisputable (Bet Now: $14.00) didn’t beat much when resuming at Moe but the manner in which he put them away was impressive, getting better as the race went on. Harder here but confident he can measure up.

7 Celtics (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was stiff at Flemington last time, getting badly held up in behind before eventually getting clear and worked to the line strongly. He’ll take beating if he gets room to move against these.

1 First Chorus (Bet Now: $1.60) loves getting her feet wet and I think that should see her take a power of beating here. Track was too firm at Flemington last time I thought and she felt the pinch late. Much better suited getting her toe in and gets a senior rider on.

7 Enna’s Dream (Bet Now: $8.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. She ran over 1400m during the Warrnambool Carnival and was good late from off speed without really threatening. Hard fit, she’s good enough to threaten.

8 Jazz Affair (Bet Now: $8.00) was a total forgive from two weeks back at Flemington when four wide the trip and the hard run told late in the piece. Better run in transit here, she can run a much improved race at odds.

2 El Rocko (Bet Now: $2.80) gets complete front end control here and should take beating. Track was too testing last Saturday at Sandown and he couldn’t quite see it through behind Meridius. He’ll lead for fun here and take running down.

8 See That Storm (Bet Now: $3.70) is a former UK galloper that makes his Aussie debut for Price/Kent. He is better suited over further but has had a couple of jumpouts to get ready and has looked pretty good so watch betting and see what it does.

7 Cartoon Graveyard (Bet Now: $7.50) is in the mix after his effort here a few weeks ago behind Brave One, settling off speed and tried hard but just lacked the finale. He likes getting his toe in and maps to stalk the speed. Dangerous.

9 Skippers Canyon… (Bet Now: $5.50) he’s racing really well…but is it nearing last chance territory? He was given a 12/10 by Williams at Flemington two weeks ago and was hailed as the winner when presented but had no answers for the finale of Ghetto Superstar. 2000m is fine, he’ll be strong late, in form…just needs to put a win on the board.

11 Simurgh (Bet Now: $2.15) was a strong track/distance winner three weeks ago, knuckling down with purpose late to wear them down and score. Whether he is looking for further, not sure, but it’s all upside with him.

7 Sly Boots (Bet Now: $13.00) steps up to 2000m after racing last Saturday over the mile at Sandown when held but far from disgraced in defeat behind Seafall. Like him up in trip, can settle on speed and be tough to get past.

8 Cabriole (Bet Now: $3.50) is an exciting prospect for Team Freedman that is 2/2 this time in. Spanked them fresh at Geelong before doing something similar against a plain field at Sale. Loved the way he moved in a recent jumpout, he’ll jump on the bunny and take beating.

4 Tres Magnifique (Bet Now: $8.00) is a slight query at 1100m but hard to knock the way she’s racing for Busuttin/Young. Latest win was over 1000m at Caulfield Heath, finding under pressure to fend them off and score. Last bit will test but she’ll give an almighty sight.

Good test here for 7 Bred Em All (Bet Now: $6.50) but he has earned a crack. 2/2 to start his career, both wins coming in town at Morphettville, the latest being a sharp effort three weeks ago. Good test here but confident he can measure up and hold his own.

12 Bustling (Bet Now: $2.80) has class on his side and gets serious weight relief. I think he’ll run a beauty here after his first up effort here when near the speed and tried his guts out but with 62kg, just felt the pinch late. Fitter, right down to 54kg, he’ll take beating.

14 Bazaball Rewarded (Bet Now: $8.50) has earned a crack at Stakes grade. Kelvin Southey has her absolutely flying at present, the latest win being here over 1000m three weeks back, producing sustained speed from the front and gave nothing else a look in. Good test here, but keen to see how she goes.

4 Corniche (Bet Now: $15.00) was too bad to be true in the Wangoom. He was back in the run and yes, the pattern was against him, but even still, he was quite plain in defeat. He loves getting his toe in and his best is dangerous against this lot.

7 Elouyou (Bet Now: $5.00) is flying and if this track has genuine give, I think he’ll run a beauty, as seen first up at Caulfield over 1000m. He was beaten for early speed and was flat footed when the sprint went on but he ran through the pain barrier and kept chasing. Fitter, 1200m, and on a wet track, he’ll take beating.

5 Perspiration (Bet Now: $5.00) is an interesting runner. He was a Victorian when with Ciaron Maher but in recent times has been in Tassie and has thrived, winning two on the bounce during the Summer Carnival over there. Resumes, trialled well, watch betting.

16 Hezdarnhottoo (Bet Now: $9.50) is several weeks between runs since racing at Hawkesbury when off speed and tried hard but lacked the killer finale behind Golden Straand. This isn’t a deep race, so I say he’s in with a shout.
