2 Lucky Sue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me in the opener. David Harrison trained mare that resumes, having not raced since June 7 when struggling on wet ground at Belmont when down the track behind Berbere. She is a mare who does race well on the fresh side who seems to have trialled up nicely and she finds a winnable race. Happy to be in her corner.

1 Givemeonereason (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Magnus for Simon Miller that resumes. This guy last raced on July 8 at Belmont where he got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he found the line late in the piece when fourth to Universal Flair. He’s got the talent to be Saturday class and he looked strong in a trial win at Belmont. Commands respect.

6 Aunty Jean (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has run well down the straight before and is in with a shout. This mare ran at Narrogin last time where she was back near last in the run and did make up ground but was never really a factor when fourth. Not sure I could back her to win but is one for wider exotics in a winnable race.

5 Cosmic Chaos (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but gee this is an ordinary maiden. This gelding ran over 2000m at Bunbury last time when second up. He got back off the speed and did make up headway but was never really threatening behind Garman, but was solid enough in defeat. There is no nice way to say this…it’s a field of camels. He might be a one humper vs two humpers.

4 Tribal Ruler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a threat. He ran in a very truly run mile at Geraldton last start and was never really a winning threat but he stayed on and was pretty sound in defeat. That should be a good grounding for this and as stated above, the depth here is pretty much non existent. With the claim, he commands respect.

1 Dented Romance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had 24 starts to break the maiden tag…that says it all. That said, he did run a close up third in the Bunbury race mentioned above. Seemingly had every chance but he was good to the line in just missing out on the win. He should be around the mark but I couldn’t back him to win.

I’ll take a chance with 7 Just Famous (Bet Now:  $SP.00), who is on debut for Donna Riordan. This gelding is very well bred by Justify out of former quality mare Celebrity Dream. She trialled over 950m at Lark Hill and while she was held in the trial, I thought she moved well enough to say she has ability to win a race, certainly a maiden like this where the depth is a bit on the thin side.

5 Uukhai (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a nice enough horse to say he’ll be around the mark. He was kept safe in betting when debuting down the straight here. He was near the speed throughout and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite finish the job when fifth. Better for the run under the belt, up to 1200m, ideal map, rates highly.

6 Maze Master (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Maschino for Adam Durrant that is resuming. He had a two run prep in the Winter here to start his career and was solid on debut when fifth but then failed next start and was spelled. Trial work has been encouraging, he gets a good run from the gate and strikes a race where he can easily win.

4 Western Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in distance. This gelding debuted over 1200m here where he got a fair way out of his ground and was never really a winning threat but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off behind Objectify. He was keen in the run there so with better racing manners, he’ll take beating.

1 Roundabout Glory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to break the maiden tag. Both career outings have come over 1100m at Bunbury, the latest being a few weeks ago when off the speed and chasing strongly when a narrow second Justabittapress. I think he’ll love getting to 1300m and third up, he should be knowing what the caper is about and be hard race fit.

3 Prince Of Santos (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope. He was $101 when debuting in the maiden mentioned above from Bunbury. He was an eye catcher I thought. He made up good ground despite being in restricted room and racing greenly, his late splits were more than encouraging. If he can use the inside gate to advantage, he’ll take holding out I’d suggest.

13 Own The Queen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a filly with good talent and I am quite keen on her prospects. This filly debuted last Saturday in the big maiden at Ascot where she was very raw and new to the caper but I loved the way she found the line late in the piece behind Playing Rio. Blinkers on, up in trip, can settle closer…I think good luck beating her.

11 Rakiya (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is nearing a maiden win for Colin Webster. This mare has steadily improved with racing, running okay on debut before running a much improved race when racing over 1400m at Bunbury, making up good headway from off the speed. Like her up to 1500m and with proper clear air to wind into her work, I am sure she’ll be dangerous.

7 Royal Law (Bet Now:  $SP.00) might need more racing and a rise in trip but I think a win is not far away. He debuted over this trip at Ascot at the midweeks where he got back in the run and did make up some form of headway but was never really threatening behind Blazing Emerald. Not sure I could back him to win but is one for exotics.

7 Shot Of Elegance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will do me. Team Williams trained mare that resumes after only a one run prep in the Autumn, which saw her win at Northam, giving them a start and a beating in a sharp display. Goes well on the fresh side it seems and her recent trial effort at Lark Hill was quite strong.

2 Ein Stein (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and prove hard to run down. He raced over 1100m at Geraldton last time where he found the front pretty comfortably it seems and despite being out of petrol tickets late, he had enough in hand to win and win well albeit the margin was narrow. Last bit will test but he’ll give himself every chance.

5 Red Rebel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing here on Boxing Day where he was on speed throughout and tried his guts out but couldn’t quite see it through when third to Magnum Class. The end of 1300m is the test and query, but if he finds the front and gets some level of control, he’ll take running down.

3 Ciscojoe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth an each way ticket here in an open race. He resumed over 1400m at Ascot just over two weeks ago where he got back off the run and was held up at times before eventually getting clear and finding the line nicely behind Count The Sessions. If he can use the inside gate and settle closer in the run, he’ll be dangerous late.

9 Stormy Tawny (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up for Team Williams after racing last Saturday at Ascot in the Epona Classic where she was in restricted room early on in the straight but she picked up and surged hard late, just missing out on the win when second to Harmika. That is several runs at 1200m under the belt so up to 1400m, she appeals.

5 Blazing Tycoon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is another that doesn’t have the best of racing patterns but is a key threat if the inside gate can be used to advantage. He ran in the Count The Sessions race mentioned above where he got back to near last in the run and did make up good ground without threatening. Knockout hope if he can settle closer.

2 Autumn Rebel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hit and miss at times but with his best, he is more than good enough to do a number on these. He produced an electric finale to win over the mile here last time, giving them a start and a beating in a brilliant performance. Racing like he will eat up the extra 100m and in a winnable race, I am quite keen on his prospects.

3 Comealilbitcloser (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a decent record at the trip and maps ideally for Lou Luciani. He ran over this trip at Bunbury last time out where he was building into the race nicely but didn’t quite get clear air so forgive and forget the run in defeat. If the breaks go his way, he is certainly good enough to threaten.

4 Tiff’s Lad (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds. He contested the Bunbury race mentioned above. He was wide no cover for the trip and tired in the straight to finish down the track behind Valley Of Queens. If he can get a more economical run in transit, he is good enough to be dangerous here at a likely decent price.

NEXT BEST: Race Eight Number 2 Autumn Rebel

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 3 Ciscojoe
