Adam Page gives us his runner by runner preview for tomorrow’s Sweet Embrace Stakes at Warwick Farm racecourse, view his analysis, tips and selections.
1. Defiant Dame
Won like a superstar on debut then was disappointing in the Magic Millions at Wyong before being sent for a spell. Trialled well last week but has since had an elevated tempertature. If she is song, she’ll be hard to beat.
2. Aerobatics
Didn’t look happy on the bog track yet was too good on debut back in December. Has looked sensational in recent barrier trials and looks the one for me.
3. Karuta Queen
She is racing in the Black Opal.
4. Pane In The Glass
Hasn’t beaten much so far in her career but has shown plenty of class. Needs to step up here but I think she can. One of the main dangers.
5. Saramenha
Jump and run type from the Gerald Ryan yard. Was solid during the Summer winning two races, but they were ordinary races. Has looked ok in a couple of barrier trials but needs to improve to feature here.
6. Shared Reflections
Did the job well on debut, then bumped into Satin Shoes and Elite Falls in the Widden. Hasn’t jumped brilliant in her two career starts to date but no doubting her ability to win this race. I can certainly make a case for her.
7. Florentina
Was solid on debut behind Helmet but I think he needs it easier and she appears as if she needs more time.
8. Al’s Magic Miss
Finished fourth in the Widden and was safely held by the first three. Not here for me.
9. Seven Fly Seven
Was good on debut but this is a massive rise grade and I’m happy to watch her go around.
10. Streama
Was solid on debut at Canterbury but again a massive class rise. Having said that she does have barrier one and does have early speed so she’ll get a lovely run. A first hope.
11. Favourite Miss
Scratched
12. Gunhilda
Had no luck on debut when caught three and four wide throughout. Will no doubt have improved on that run but I don’t she trouble the big guns here.
13. Bright Heart
Has been ordinary in two starts to date and is entitled to go around at big odds.
