Nine races have been set down for Morphettville Parks on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out five metres for the entire circuit.

9 Chisholm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way to go here, and clearly, for me. Price/Kent juvenile that debued down the straight on Champions Day in the Inglis Banner when a game second to a very good filly, Within The Law. Given a good break and her jumpout work to get ready has been strong.

2 Caladan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) run third on debut and looks to be the main danger to the favourite. Should go forward and be the possible leader and will just be down to if he can hold them off late.

11 One More Song (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Toronado that is on debut for Bain/Taylor. This girl was with Team McEvoy once upon a time but is now with the in form Bain/Taylor camp, with a couple of trials under the belt, and each time has been strong. Watch betting.

3 Party Crasher (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be rated top seed after his win two weeks ago over 2000m where he got better as the race went on and was quite dominant late in the piece. He’ll eat up 2250m and the depth here isn’t overly deep for mine. The one to beat.

1 Dixie Whistler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 2250m after racing two weeks back over 2500m in the Port Adelaide Cup where she didn’t disgrace himself in defeat at all behind Sir Kingsford after doing early work on speed and although held, she stayed on and was good in defeat. Back to this level and a track she loves, she appeals.

2 Lake’s Folly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is getting on in years but isn’t racing too bad. He ran during the Warrnambool Carnival last time where he got on speed and tried hard but just lacked the killer finale. Back home, and I think with a more patient steer, he should be better off.

5 Falanghina (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the hardest to beat for Phillip Stokes. She ran over 1400m at the midweeks at Murray Bridge last time when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in the straight in a good effort in defeat behind Top Of The Ridge. Not a deep race, can settle within range and be strong late.

4 Novella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Michael Hickmott, having not raced since April 2 when a spank job maiden winner at Balaklava where he looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted by over five lengths. Tick over trial was good and this isn’t a race that is strong on paper.

3 Harley’N’Rose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Richards/Moyle trained four year old that resumes, having not raced since Dec 21 at Murray Bridge when back near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did find the line and was pretty good in defeat I thought behind Magnetic Edge. He is a horse who can sprint well fresh and will be strong late.

Going to take a chance with 2 Godzilla (Bet Now:  $SP.00), who has had a few homes throughout his career but is now with Travis Doudle. Latest stable he was in was Tony Gollan in Queensland and he was good in defeat last start, which was on April 4 at Doomben. If he brings his best, I think he wins, so watch betting.

8 Burning Bright (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1550m after racing over 1800m two weeks ago in the Provincial Final when near the speed and she tried hard but had no answers late for Fine Future. Like her back to 1550m and that form line reads super.

1 France’s Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over the mile on the course proper when doing work to land on speed and that early burn just told on him late. Better suited at this level and his best is good enough to threaten.

6 Synchro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is progressive and I think he can take this out. He comes here with fresh legs for Michael Hickmott, having not raced since April 5 over 1550m here when getting a decent run in transit and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Serinite Illusion. Tick over trial was good, good racing style and should be strong late.

4 Starts Now (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Pierro that resumes for Team Jolly. He is first up, having not raced since Jan 11 at Murray Bridge when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat behind France’s Boy. Not a noted fresh horse but his recent trial win was sharp so watch betting.

3 Japanese Emperor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is very much capable with his best. He ran over the mile two weeks back on the course proper where he got a ground saving ride and tried hard but was very weak late behind Annihilate. His best form sees him go close so don’t dismiss.

9 Big Brute (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Chris Bieg trained three year old that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Sep 21 over 1550m here when near the speed and battled away really well in defeat behind Talisay, who was flying at the time. Given a good break and the trial work has been strong, so watch betting.

2 Merchant Boss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip after resuming over 1050m a fortnight back on the course proper where he got off speed and was good late despite having his chance behind Voltage Point. Great record on the Parks track and has more upside/improvement than most.

13 Never Surrender (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came at Balaklava when wide no cover throughout and the hard run just told on him late in the piece in a total forgive. Had trialled well prior so don’t dismiss him.

5 Prinzerro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a pretty big campaign this time in which is the only worry if today he will be at the end of his prep. If not he is the horse to beat, he has been racing against much better competition than this and he has been right in the finish. The horse to beat if he hasn’t tipped over with a lot of racing this year.

3 Rogue Rocker (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been knocking on the door his last few runs and he finds a very winnable race here with some key scratchings coming out of the race. He will get back in the run and if they go hard up front he will be the one running over the top of them late.

10 Tapinforpar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) tends to save his best for the Parks track and is a big improver after racing three weeks back over 1200m on the course proper where he got too far out of his ground but was okay late behind Beauty Rising. Like the rise in trip for him and overall, this isn’t a deep race.

10 Vexatious Dancer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will likely lead this field up and take running down. She did that a few weeks ago at The Valley and she tried hard but just lacked the killer blow when fourth to New York Lustre. Looks the leader and will look the winner for a long way.

8 Winning Revolution (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned well and is one of the hardest to beat. He resumed on the course proper here two weeks ago when getting into a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Voltage Point. Good track/distance efforts throughout his career, he takes beating.

4 Magic Max (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and is capable for Richards/Moyle. He was thrown in the deep end last start in the Railway at Oakbank where he got back to near last in the run and made up minimal headway behind Volcanic Express. He’ll get back but be charging late.

1 Shisuta Bo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) this race has been hit with some key scratchings. She has a really good winning strike rate and finds a really good race to continue that percentage. She has to carry the top weight but with the claim will come into a much better allowance. She will sit handy and with a little luck from the gate she will be the horse to beat.

6 Nurys (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday in the Proud Miss where she was outclassed on paper and while she ran accordingly, I thought she was far from disgraced in defeat behind Cleo Cat. Much better suited at this level, she likes the Parks track, she takes beating I say.

2 Kinetic Jewel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been a bit disappointing in her last few races but her best form would see her winning in a field like this. She will likely be up on the speed and if she can get a few easy sectionals she is the horse at odds that could surprise.
