3 Koondakaara (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat and slight overs. He resumed over 1200m at Pakenham when near the speed throughout and was there to win but just didn’t have the class to go with Heavenly Shades. Can settle on speed and take beating.

2 Factcheck (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a tricky draw to overcome but looks to have returned really well. He resumed over 1000m at Pakenham when doing work from the wide gate but he stuck to the task really well and kept finding the line in defeat behind Regal Tycoon. Luck from the draw here, he takes beating.

8 Ludington (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Omaha Beach that is on debut for Mick Kent. She has had extensive trial/jumpout work to get ready for start one, and this time in, she has looked pretty good, which isn’t really the norm for this stable, so I say watch the market and see what it does.

1 Honor Galore (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have a bit on this lot. She resumes for Cliff Brown, having not raced since Nov 20 at Caulfield Heath when leading and giving a solid sight from the front but was run down late when third to Nova Lights. Looks to have jumped out really well, and like her at 1000m.

3 Pano’s Pride (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Feb 8 when racing over 888m at The Valley when run off her legs but was good late without threatening. Like her up in trip and can settle much closer in the run.

6 Shamrock Bay (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Templeton trained mare that resumes. This girl last raced on Dec 12 at Caulfield Heath when leading and tiring late behind Romantic Choice. Didn’t mind the way she moved in a recent Pakenham jumpout and will press forward.

8 Under My Thumb (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an odds on chance IMO and really surprised that near $4 is available. She hasn’t raced since Jan 30 when back, ridden with a sit, but presented wider and loomed to win but had to settle for a second. Looked sharp in a jumpout win, Blinkers first time, should lead…I think she’s a good thing. But, it’s last chance territory.

10 Montjuic Magic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Starspangledbanner filly that debuts for Robbie Griffiths. She’s had three trials/jumpouts this time in to get ready for start one and each time she has looked pretty good to my eye. Should land in a plum spot from the gate and be around the mark.

2 Alpine Way (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a John Allen trained gelding that is on debut. He has had three jumpouts in readiness for start one and has looked solid enough each time he has stepped out. Tricky draw to contend with but I think is one to be entertained for exotics.

9 Heat Of The Night (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks an enormous price for mine. I was keen on her chances at Yarra Valley but she bombed the start and that sealed her fate, pretty much going around like it was a barrier trial. Blinkers on so hopefully she jumps well, can land on speed and prove extremely hard to beat.

2 Chest Of Gold (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one to beat but odds on seems rock bottom. He attempted to lead throughout in the Futures Stars Final last time at Pakenham and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through. That said, he was far from disgraced in defeat. Back to this level, he appeals.

10 Homeward (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to 1400m after debuting over 1000m at Pakenham where she was near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, she did find the line well enough in defeat and is racing like 1400m will be ideal. Knockout hope.

7 Khabalov (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win and he gets his chance. He ran over this trip at Wangaratta just under two weeks ago when on speed throughout and was there to win but just couldn’t quite see it through. That said, he was far from disgraced in defeat. Lands in a plum spot and hard fit, he’s the one to beat.

4 Show Of Gold (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a couple of runs at 1400m and is racing like a rise to 1600m will suit. He attempted to lead throughout last start and gave a strong kick from the front but just felt the pinch late. I think with a more patient steer, he’ll be more effective.

3 Retraction (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a first four contender at a big price. He resumed over 1400m at Sale when leading and giving a solid kick from the front but just feeling the pinch late in the piece. Not sure he is good enough to win but can run top four at odds.

8 Astral Flame (Bet Now:  $SP.00) still does a bit wrong but she just looks better than these. She placed in the Futures Stars Final at Pakenham where she had her chance but was still quite good in defeat. Home track advantage, and I am hoping Carleen rides her like the best horse in the race and if so, she’s too good.

6 Rock The Bar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the most obvious. Danny O’Brien trained gelding that ran two weeks ago at Morphettville Parks behind Makalu, getting a fair way out of his ground but worked home with real purpose late in the piece to run third. Hard to beat with a positive ride.

2 Hughes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the key threats. He resumed at Seymour when near the speed throughout and was there to win the race but just found one better in handy mare Paradise City. The draw does make things tricky but he has upside/progression vs most engaged.

2 Galilaeus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is getting towards D Day but similar to Astral Flame, he just looks to have lengths on these. Latest run was Feb 19 over 3000m at Sandown when near the speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through behind Highblaze Blaze. Blinkers on, miles back in grade/depth…he should be winning.

8 Sparkle Link (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has home track advantage and gets Blinkers first time. She landed on speed at Pakenham last start and tried hard but just lacked the change up speed to go with them late in the piece when fourth to Madison Kate. Good racing style, she commands respect.

1 Brilliant Venture (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver at odds. He resumed two weeks back at Pakenham over 2000m where he paraded like he would need the run and that’s how it panned out behind Burlington Gate. He’s a definite improver against these.

5 Meh Keffi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one to beat in the get out. She did more than enough on debut at Caulfield Heath despite being keen in the run. She then went to Moe where she gave them a start and a beating, letting down with good change up speed late to win well. Confident she takes beating against these.

1 Primal Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will land on speed and run a positive race. He led throughout at Kyneton last time out and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. He has the talent to measure up, so don’t dismiss him.

2 Strapparsi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a couple of runs at 1000m and is racing like a rise to 1200m will suit. Latest run was two weeks back at Pakenham when off the speed and kept chasing without threatening. Dangerous if the inside gate can be used to advantage.
