18 Rich Dottie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for Grahame Begg and will take holding out fresh. Her last run came in the World Pool Classic when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Alabama Lass, who ran a beauty last week in the Moir, so the form reads super and her jumpout work has been elite.

7 Stoli Bolli (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to win for Team Hayes. He ran three weeks ago at The Valley when off speed and worked home strongly late but had to settle for a second to all the way winner Red Hot Nicc. Hard fit now, like him back to 1100m, he appeals.

2 De Bergerac (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been up a little while but is holding his form really well. He got too far back at The Valley last time but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Red Hot Nicc when fourth. Proven down the straight, he commands respect.

2 Tycoon Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) made a mess of them in the McNeil two weeks ago. He landed on speed and looked to be absolutely trucking before being clicked up and away he went, giving them a spanking in an impressive performance. He can make a statement here with the Coolmore in mind.

3 Legacy Bound (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. 2/2 to start his career for Robbie Griffiths, the last start seeing him romp up in the Breeders at Morphettville, similar to a Vinery owned horse that won it last year, Growing Empire. Jumpout work has been strong, watch betting.

7 Navy Pilot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Ciaron Maher trained three year old that resumes. He had a busy 2YO season, which ended in Brisbane when far from disgraced in the JJ Atkins. Couple of strong trials in Sydney for the return, watch betting.

1 Vinrock (Bet Now:  $SP.00) deserves another chance. On face value, he was really plain in the McNeil two weeks ago but he was fresh at 1200m and on a somewhat shifty track, he didn’t seem too comfortable. I think back onto a bigger track, proven track/distance performer…I think he can bounce back hard.

3 Crossbow (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat for Chris Waller. Pattern was against him three weeks ago at The Valley, sitting back off the speed but worked home well enough in defeat behind Bingi. If within range, he has the finale to take this out.

6 West Of Swindon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good horse, I am convinced of that. Totally forgiving of the first up run at Kembla given Louise Day gave the three year old a very sore back, sitting three and four wide throughout and the horse rightfully tired late. More economical run in transit, he can measure up.

4 Inkaruna (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a filly I am quite interested in. Team Freedman trained filly that resumes off the back of extensive trial work, the latest coming last week at Caulfield Heath and while she ran last, I thought she moved very well. Likely spots them a start but will launch late.

19 Biologics (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for Grahame Begg and is quite dangerous. Her debut win at Pakenham back on May 15 was very sharp, the way she put them away and how arrogant she was in the run to the line in a sharp effort. Given a good break and the trial work leading in was more than encouraging.

6 Bellazaine (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for GaiBott that resumes. She is first up after a busy two year old campaign, where she contested all the major races and for the most part, was far from disgraced for the most part. Her trial work to get ready has been quite strong and looks ready to go at 1100m.

11 Robrick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps each way. He is three weeks between runs since racing at The Valley when first up. He got back off the speed and was held up badly in the straight, pretty much going around like it was a barrier trial. Good record at 1400m, kind map, he’ll only run well.

1 Rise At Dawn (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has class on his side and that will take him a long way. He resumes, having not raced since the Stradbroke where it all looked rush and he was never really a factor. He does tend to save his best for Flemington and has jumped out super for the return.

4 Cafe Millennium (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Team Hayes since taking out the Leon Macdonald at Morphettville Parks, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive performance. Has run well at Flemington previously and confident he runs well.

5 Star Patrol (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good horse for Clinton McDonald that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Derby Day here when down the track in the Rising Fast behind Maharba. Looked quite sharp in a jumpout win last week at Cranbourne and does love straight course. Watch betting.

4 Arkansaw Kid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a liking for the straight course and third up from a break, he should be hard fit. He ran second to Tropicus two weeks back at Caulfield, chasing strongly in the straight but was no match late for the impressive winner. Hard fit, likes the straight, he commands respect.

11 Royal Insignia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs for Beggy since resuming at Caulfield where he found a sticky track and in the worst ground, he kept finding the line and was pretty good late in the piece behind Pop Award. Tick over trial last week was strong…staying at 1200m I hate, but he is too good of a horse to ignore.

I think one that is a price here is 2 Post Impressionist (Bet Now:  $SP.00). I can make excuses for him his past several runs. Last start was a sit/sprint, as was five back. Four back, this race last year, the track was a bog. Tired horse after that in the Herbert Power. Aus Cup Prelude was a borderline Group l race re depth. I think he’ll run a beauty here, especially with a more positive ride.

4 Revelare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can well and truly stamp himself as a Melbourne Cup contender with a win here. His win at Caulfield a fortnight back was massive given he made a sustained run and was there to be beaten but he found late and was strong to the line in scoring. 2500m at Flemington looks ideal, hard to beat.

9 Taramansour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a first four threat after resuming behind Revelare at Caulfield two weeks back. He just found them a bit too sharp but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat. Better set up here…may need another run, but I think for exotics, he has to be included.

6 Aeliana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Chris Waller since resuming in the Winx Stakes where she ran out of her skin, closing with real purpose late in the piece when a narrow second to Via Sistina. Fitter, up in trip, firmer footing, she’ll take a power of beating despite the champion mare being here.

5 Via Sistina (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is here and means business. She resumed with a bang in the Winx Stakes, getting a 12/10 ride by J Mac by cutting the corner and was strong to the line in fending off Aeliana. She’s a star, a champion, she’ll look the winner I am sure…just prefer to be with Aeliana.

1 Mr Brightside (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an absolute beauty. Some had the jury out on him after his jumpout but he ran a beauty in the Memsie, chasing as well as ever in the straight but was clearly no match for Treasurethe Moment. Proven performer in this race, he appeals.

7 On Display (Bet Now:  $SP.00) put her hand up for the Empire Rose with her arrogant win first up two weeks ago and she can probably stamp herself as top seed with a win here. The first up win at Caulfield was arrogant, the way she just glided into clear air and put them away late. It was a 78 race, but she was a Stakes winner last prep, so she’s up to this level, and off the return, she’s destined for the top level.

3 Lazzura (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Chris Waller since an electric win in the Show County. On a day where Autumn Glow and Via Sistina starred, Aeliana returned like a bomb, this mare also made a statement in her return, giving them a start and a beating. Keen to see how she goes second up.

6 Abounding (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Cockram from two weeks back. She got back off speed and was held up at times before angling clear towards the inside and was good late when third to Magic Time. Fitter and up to 1400m, her best is good enough to be a knockout hope.

6 Kingswood (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be humming and I think can well and truly put his hand up for a good race this Spring. His latest jumpout at Cranbourne, he was absolutely trucking before being clicked up out wide and away he went to win by a space. Keen to see him resume and I think he could well make a statement here.

4 Globe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came three weeks ago at The Valley. He lobbed on speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through, run down late by Hard To Cross. Better for the run, good racing style, he appeals against these.

2 Deakin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is ticking along towards the Melbourne Cup and this should be another stepping stone towards the first Tuesday in November. He resumed over 1400m at Caulfield in what was pretty much a barrier trial but he kept on and was a definite pass mark. Not sure he wins, but a first four threat.
