7 Rasp (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one with upside and timing. He ran over 1350m at Wyong when beaten by Just Party but he was by far the better run I thought. He was drunk around the tight track but once he balanced up in the straight, he was very good late and closed with purpose. Up to the mile, gets J Kah…he’s the one to beat I feel.

1 Just Party (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice colt for Ryan/Alexiou. He was gallant in defeat on debut at Newcastle before going to Wyong where he looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted, winning quite comfortably after sitting near the speed. No issue with 1600m, good racing style, hard to beat.

2 Miss Busslinger (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Kris Lees trained filly that has an engine under the hood. She ran two weeks ago in the Baillieu and was good late nearer the inside without threatening in a fast run race when fourth to Linebacker, who goes around as nearly #1 seed for the Champagne next Saturday. This girl is racing as if 1600m suits and finds a winnable race.

16 Kadavar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Queensland Derby candidate for Chris Waller so keen to see how he resumes. He had a two run prep in Queensland to start his career, winning each time and was impressive in both wins the way he attacked the line. Tick over trial on Monday was very good and yes, will be better suited over further but should be very strong late.

5 Razors (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks one of the hardest to beat for James Cummings. He has been strong in two runs back from a spell, the latest being over 1400m at Rosehill two weeks ago, getting near the speed and tried hard but bumped into a potential Stakes class horse, Gringotts. He’s taken on the older horses this time in but back to his own age and hard fit, he appeals.

18 Misterkipchoge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Chris Waller trained gelding that resumes and is another that I dare say has eyes on the Derby in Queensland. He was a strong maiden winner on the Kenso when last in work back on Jan 31, his lone run for the prep. Loved the way he trialled on Monday and while he’ll be spotting them a start, he will be charging at the end.

1 Tavi Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been set for the race and has been #1 seed for this race for several months for me so I won’t be dropping off. He resumed with a bang when winning a Newcastle Qualifier before going to Rosehill when a heavily backed odds on pop but the race shape was against when second to Whinchat. Hard fit, class factor, brilliance…hard to beat.

8 Territory Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Paul Nicefero and comes here off a Group ll placing, just missing out on the Ajax when beaten a lip by Democracy Manifest, who ran super in the Doncaster last Saturday, so the form does read very well for this and his Qualifier win at Kembla was electric. He’s the main threat.

2 Strait Acer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks back on track. Too bad to be true in a Kembla Qualifier before going to a Wyong Qualifier where he got back and wide but worked home with real purpose late in the piece when second to Ausbred Flirt. He’s a Stakes class horse when right so for mine, he commands respect.

1 Lady Of Camelot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the Golden Slipper who was down to run in the Sires but was scratched and has been kept on ice with this race in mind. The Slipper win was superb, aided by a 12/10 from Shinn. Slipper form is surely A1 for a race like this and with this weight scale, gee she looks so well in.

7 Too Darn Lizzie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down. She comes through the Reisling where she attempted to lead throughout and gave a solid kick but couldn’t quite see it through when a close up third to Erno’s Cube. Tick over trial win was sharp, good racing style and she’ll be strong at the end. Leading contender.

14 Empress Of Japan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bred to be an Oaks filly so the fact she is sharp as a juvenile tells me she is talented. She debuted over 1100m at Gosford four weeks ago where she gave them a start and a beating, taking narrow gaps and driving hard late to win and win well, proving very strong to and through the line. Clearly a harder assignment here, but with fresh legs, strong late, she’s in the mix for sure.

6 Schwarz (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented colt for John O’Shea that should take beating against these. He resumed three weeks ago in the Darby Munro where he got held up at a crucial stage where he was wanting to build the revs and just missed out on the win behind Brave Mead. I think with clear air from the outset, he will let himself build the revs when he wants to and with the run under the belt, he appeals.

11 Joliestar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very good filly for Chris Waller that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since winning the Thousand Guineas at Caulfield under a peach from J Mac. She trialled on Monday and she looked to be absolutely jogging. She’s come back in beast mode I feel and can make a statement here.

9 Hedge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice horse for Price/Kent. He was a strong first up winner down the straight at Flemington before staying there two weeks ago in the Sunlight Classic where he was held up at times but seemingly had his chance behind Estriella, who looks a Group l winner in waiting. That form does read very well so I am not dismissing him.

3 Zardozi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on track still and I am not going to drop off her. On the turn, she looked the winner of the Vinery but she just lacked the hardness to go with them late and flattened out the final 150m when third to Orchestral. She has that toughen up run under the belt, which holds her in good stead for 2400m and has that upside.

1 Orchestral (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the runs on the board and is clearly the one to beat. I thought she was in trouble 400m out in the Vinery when Tutta La Vita kicked and looked home, but this girl showed her class and knuckled down with real purpose to win and win well. There is the query of what is left in the tank, but there was that query in the Vinery and she came out with flying colours.

I think 6 Basilinna (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is way over the odds. On face value, just a run in the Alister Clark, but I don’t think she was 100% happy around the tight track and only got warm late in an eye catching effort. She will love getting to 2400m and she held her own in the VRC Oaks behind Zardozi. Big price and a must for exotics.

10 Athabascan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be ticking along beautifully towards this race. He ran two weeks ago in the Tancred and was very good late in the piece between runners when a close up fourth to Kalapour. He gets serious weight relief, he’ll have no issue with 3200m, firm-ish deck, sense of timing…only runs well and is a great each way gamble.

12 Circle Of Fire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one with the sense of timing for Ciaron Maher. Chairmans win was very strong last Saturday. What did he beat? Nothing, but he is a horse with all the upside in the world, gets weight relief, strong late…clearly hard to beat.

11 Manzoice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is not far away and comes here with fresh legs, three weeks between runs since running second in the Manion Cup where he was safely held by Post Impressionist but he stayed on and was solid enough in defeat. He’s working progress and gives every indication that 3200m suits. He can take this out without being a total shock.

7 Pride Of Jenni (Bet Now:  $SP.00), with her racing pattern, has to be a bet for mine. She has been so brave and so good with her racing style, the latest being two weeks ago in the Australian Cup where she led and looked all over a winner but was nabbed on the peg by Cascadian. There is good depth to this line up, but with her racing style, she’ll give herself every chance.

8 Via Sistina (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could spank these. But, she’s just too short for mine. No doubting she is high class though given how arrogant she was in the Ranvet, but that form has been rank. Zeyrek/Buckaroo/Military Mission beaten since, Think It Over retired…there is enough there for me to say she’s not a bet. She can win, but if you’re betting, I’d want $3+.

3 Buckaroo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a very strange set up this prep. 1400m first up run was a beauty, several weeks off into the Ranvet before backing up in the Tancred where the pattern was against him. I am convinced he is racing well, I like him back to 2000m, he’ll be strong late…a win wouldn’t shock at all with him.

1 Atishu (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good thing as far as I am concerned. Ran an absolute blinder in the Australian Cup behind Cascadian and at the time of writing, she is accepted as well for the Queen Elizabeth but for mine, she is much better suited at the mile, against her own sex, and from the gate, she gets the run of the race, strong late, won the race last year…think she’ll win it again.

2 Zougotcha (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was scratched from the Doncaster last Saturday to dodge the wet track and she should find firmer footing here. Loved the way she toughed it out to win the Coolmore Classic, lumping topweight and finished best in a driving go. She is a proven big time performer at the Randwick mile and with fresh legs, clearly appeals.

15 Arctic Glamour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance for Ryan/Alexiou. This filly ran two weeks back in the Emancipation and while she was held by Olentia, I did like the way she found the line out wide, which wasn’t the spot to be for the meeting when it came to making ground. She’s hit and miss but with her best, she has the engine under the hood to be dangerous.

One of the better bets on the program for mine here in the shape of 14 Saltaire (Bet Now:  $SP.00). She brings Estriella form, which is the best sprinting form in Australia IMO, and she was very good in defeat. Upside, strong at the end of 1200m, and isn’t chewed up whereas some of these are. Right down in the weights, ideal map…keen.

4 Tashi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a ripping mare for Team Snowden that rates highly. Three weeks between runs since contesting the Birthday Card at Rosehill where she got off the speed and kept finding the line in a really good effort when a close up second to Chain Of Lightning, who of course came out and won the TJ Smith, so the form reads very well and against these, she appeals.

3 Wee Nessy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. This girl did more than enough fresh in the Wenona Girl before going to the Birthday Card where she was there to win from just off the speed but couldn’t quite get there when third to Chain Of Lightning. Hard fit now, she’s in the mix.

BEST BET: Race Nine Number 1 Atishu

NEXT BEST: Race Ten Number 14 Saltaire

LONG SHOT: Race Seven Number 10 Athabascan
