Nine races have been set down for Doomben this Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out a metre for the entire circuit.

9 End Assembly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since resuming over this trip at Ipswich. He got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Zouperb. Better for the run and he has a touch of quality about him.

4 Pre Eminence (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since a strong win at Ipswich where he was there to be beaten but he found and was too strong in the run to the line. This race looks no harder, he appeals against these.

8 Boom Shot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Tony Gollan trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Feb 15 at Eagle Farm when off speed and was good late in the piece behind a nice horse, Caspernova. He is a good fresh horse and has trialled well leading in.

12 Sicilian (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will land on the bunny and take running down. She ran three weeks ago at Ipswich where she got back in the run, off speed, and was good late without threatening behind Zouperb. I think with a more positive ride, back to this level, she appeals.

6 Kickatinalong (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Sears trained mare that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since March 8 at Toowoomba when leading throughout and spanked her rivals to win well. Looked sharp in a recent Beaudesert trial and has a good racing style.

1 Board Member (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over 1000m at the Sunny Coast. She landed on speed and tried hard but first up, condition just gave way late in the piece. Better for the run and up in trip, her best is good enough to threaten.

1 Lockyer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found that winning feeling after a few outs. That win came at this track/distance, finishing best in a driving go to win and win well. Few weeks between runs so he has upside to come and solid form lines to say he’s a leading contender.

2 Bang Stick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for Tom Button. He has earned a crack in town after some really good efforts at North Queensland, the latest start being an impressive win at Mackay. Good test here, but think he measures up.

9 Cool Moon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1350m after racing over 1110m here where she found them a bit sharp but wasn’t too bad late, clocking decent late splits in the piece behind Blitzwater. Like her up in trip and this isn’t a deep contest.

3 Tuff Tu Mus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since June 11 when a winner over 1350m here, getting better as the race went on in an impressive performance. Tick over trial was good and the rise in trip looks ideal.

4 Deep Respect (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after a win last Saturday at the Sunny Coast over 1400m when giving them a start and a beating, finishing best to win well I thought. The rise to 1600m should be fine and off a win, rates highly.

7 Barazin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Kris Lees after resuming over the mile three weeks ago at Ipswich where the pattern was clearly against him and while he was never a winning threat, he was solid late behind Boys Night Out. Good second up record, his best is good enough to be dangerous.

4 Kadall (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be around the mark for Team Archibald. He is several weeks between runs since racing over 1300m at Warwick Farm where he tried his guts out but just found one better in stablemate Fiddlers Green. Looks suited at this level and is one of the leading contenders.

6 Poseidon Ruler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Ipswich. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat behind Castillian. If within range, he has the finale to take this out.

1 Roll Up (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Kelly Schweida since racing over 1400m at the Sunny Coast. He was plain behind The Drover, but post race was found to have had Cardiac Arrhtyhmia. Tick over trial last week was strong, watch betting.

1 Lady Shotgun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is just better than these, surely? She ran a beauty I thought three weeks ago in the Gai Waterhouse at Ipswich, getting back and making up headway without threatening. Back to this level, I think she wins if there is petrol left in the tank.

2 Tijuana Two Step (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at the Gold Coast. She got off speed and kept chasing in defeat in a good effort behind Sultry Siren, who was far from dsigraced last weekend at the Sunny Coast. 1350m is fine I feel and she does have a touch of quality about her.

12 Pleadeel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Michael Morrison trained mare that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since April 13 at Grafton over 2200m when off speed and just whacked in the run to the line, perhaps being an end of prep run. She can sprint well fresh and the recent trial was solid.

16 La Cometa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a three year old filly with some promise for Shaun Dwyer. She was thrown in the deep end two weeks ago in the Tatts Crown and while she was safely held, I thought she was very good in defeat behind Miss Joelene. Back to this level, she appeals big time.

1 Eaglemont (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate getting to 2000m after a win over 1840m here last time, getting the beaut run in transit before angling clear and finished best in a driving go to score. The trip should be fine and is one of the leading contenders.

15 Artful Girl (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is better suited at this level and is dangerous. She was outclassed two back in The Q22 before going to the Tatts Crown where she was again outclassed but ran a much improved race behind Miss Joelene. She appeals here.

10 John Rambo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous. He ran at Eagle Farm and just got a mile out of his ground, but did work home very well late behind impressive winner He’s Heaven, who ran well last week in the Rocky Newmarket, so the form reads well, and he strikes a winnable race.

4 Swiss Exile (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the key chances. He comes through the Eye Liner where he got in a decent spot off speed and tried hard and just couldn’t quite get involved. Like him back to 1200m and back to this level, he appeals.

2 Inver Park (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Kris Lees trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Jan 25 when down the trac in the Sunny Coast Cup behind Elletrica. Given a good break and has looked to trial well leading in so watch betting.

10 Chief In Charge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a three year old on the up and comes here off the back of a track/distance maiden win when giving them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on to win and win well. Not a deep 3YO race this so I am confident he can measure up.

6 Noble Decree (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between a track/distance maiden win, getting a decent sit just behind the speed before angling for clear air and knuckled down with purpose late to win nicely. Kept on ice but does look a horse of promise.

7 Paro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a threat for sure. Dominant win two back over 1400m on the Sunny Coast Poly before going to 1110m here when five weeks between runs and he just found them a bit sharp. That said, he was pretty good late in the piece behind Six More Songs. Fitter and up to 1350m, he appeals.
