12/3/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Sandown

10 Miss Alexis (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had two runs now and for mine, a big track and 1600m has looked her go and voila, she gets that set up here. Forgiving of the run at The Valley last time given she wasn’t 100% happy on the tight track and only got warm late in the piece. Like her on the bigger track, gets time to wind up…keen.

4 Hot Too Go (Bet Now:  $SP.00) gets the Blinkers back on and he does have runs on the board. He resumed over 1400m here when on speed and I thought was pretty plain late in the piece when third to Highlands. He does get the Blinkers on to sharpen him up and if indeed they have Derby aspirations here, he’d want to be winning or going very close.

11 Steadfast (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is clearly a threat for me. Cindy Alderson trained filly that steps up to 1600m after racing over 1500m at Caulfield Heath last start when on speed and loomed to win but just found one better in a good filly, Gellhorn. Up to 1600m, lands near the front comfortably, she takes beating I say.

6 Sisstainable (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to resume a winner. Team McEvoy trained filly that has been kept on ice since her debut in October in the Maribyrnong Trial when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort. Given a good break and her jumpout work has been quite strong in readiness for the return.

1 Facilitate (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the debut run, which came over this trip at The Valley when doing work to land on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite reel in Eternal Darkness, who was good from in front on a night where leading was dynamite. Had jumped out super prior so he commands respect.

2 Donebravo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Doug Harrison trained juvenile that is on debut. He has had a trial and jumpout in readiness for start one, and each time has looked pretty good for the most part, with a good lead being Craig Williams booked to steer so I say watch betting.

8 Last Druid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can bounce back for me. James Cummings trained three year old that resumed over 1000m at Wyong when wide no cover throughout and the hard run just told on him late in the piece when down the track behind Gogmagog. Maps to get a much better run in transit and he had trialled super leading in.

1 Wolflands (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well and should be around the mark. Team Hayes trains this gelding, who ran over 1000m at Morphettville Parks last start. He landed near the speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through, running second to impressive winner and in form mare Pure Bliss. Kind map, hard fit and in form.

6 Run Like Hell (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will put herself on speed and run a positive race. Has been kept on ice since Feb 1 when on speed at this track/distance and tried hard but just felt the pinch late behind Mighty. She has that jump/run racing style and her best is good enough.

3 Loafer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me here in what looks an open contest. She ran over this trip at Ballarat last time when off speed and was held up at times before eventually getting clear and worked home with real purpose late in the piece when second to Speir. Done little wrong in her eight start career and is the one to beat.

5 McKeyla (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Robbie Griffiths. She ran down the straight at Flemington last start and though outclassed on paper, I thought she was far from disgraced in defeat behind Scillato. That was her first run since Jan 31 so she has upside/improvement and can win.

7 Madame Maserarti (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Kennewell/Yeomans trained filly that resumes. She hasn’t raced since Oct 24 at Ballarat when racing over 1000m. She got too far out of her ground but worked home with real purpose. Jumpout work has been strong and will be dangerous if within range.

7 She’s A Hustler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) just looks to have a bit on this lot. Grahame Begg trained mare that resumed over the mile at Pakenham where she landed on speed and quite comfortably before being clicked up and away she went and was quite dominant/arrogant in the run to the line. Upside/improvement, good luck beating her.

5 Politely Dun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate getting to 1800m after resuming over 1400m here where he was a bit on the plain side but I will say, he was first up at 1400m and is a horse better suited over further, which he is here, and his best is good enough to be a threat.

9 Tarvue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improving mare for John Sadler. She was kept safe at odds when racing a few weeks back at Flemington. She landed near the speed and seemingly had her chance. Just lacked the killer blow to go with them late in the piece behind Revelare. She’s an improver for sure against these and can pinch first four.

9 Zloties (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a really good mare on the up for Grahame Begg and off the return, she takes beating. She resumed over 1200m here where she sat off a moderate speed and just lacked a sub 33 last 600m finale to win but her run was a definite mass mark in defeat behind Pop Award. If she can overcome the gate, she’ll be too good.

13 Royal Invader (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. Plain return at Mornington so Maher sent her to the jumpouts, looked much better, and was game in defeat last start at Pakenham. Hard fit now, her best is good enough to be a threat.

4 Varane (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1300m after resuming over 1200m at Warrnambool where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat. If he can settle closer, be within range, he can threaten for sure.

10 Lavalier (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will like getting to the mile after resuming over 1350m at Wyong. Not sure he was entirely happy around the tight track so forgive and forget the first up run. He had trialled very well leading in and 1600m, bigger track, kind map, he will take beating against these.

3 Freight Train (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Price/Kent trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Oct 9 at Sale when a strong winner over 1740m, landing in a plum spot behind the speed before angling clear and finished best. Jumpout work has been strong and fresh at the mile signals intent.

8 Muktamil (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Busuttin/Young trained gelding that resumes. He last raced on Geelong Cup Day over 2400m when off speed and kept chasing without threatening when fourth to Way Up High. Looked great in a trial win at Cranbourne recently and has a good racing pattern.

5 Aiming (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a good each way gamble to close out the program. Both runs this time in have come over 1400m here, where each time she has been too far back and never been a factor. Hard fit now and the big key is drawing well. She can settle much closer in the run and be effective late.

12 Pink Chandon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a leading contender. She resumed over 1200m here when back in an on speed dominated race and was good late without threatening behind Pop Award. Fitter and up to 1500m, B Shinn on, more positive ride, she takes beating.

1 Roadie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Andrew Noblet. She finished down the track in the Pop Award race mentioned above. Similar to Pink Chandon, just found them too sharp and never got involved. Good second up record and gets in well after the claim.

BEST BET: Race Five Number 7 She’s A Hustler

NEXT BEST: Race Six Number 9 Zloties

LONG SHOT: Race Eight Number 5 Aiming
