10 Gingerquest (Bet Now:  $SP.00) gets the nod but it’s a tough race. He sat on speed over 1500m at Albany on Sunday and gave a strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through when second. Good racing style, Pike booked, mile no issue, he’s hard to beat.

6 Tousled Crown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here as a last start mile winner at Pinjarra, sitting wide no cover for the most part but got better as the race went on to win. She’s earned a crack in town and commands respect.

3 Gift Of The Heart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) would smash this field if he was anywhere near his best. Just not sure where he is at. Outclassed in the Fitzpatrick Plate at Albany on Sunday but this looks more suitable so I wouldn’t entirely dismiss him.

10 They’reallsisters (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can make a winning debut. David Harrison trained daughter of Splintex that has trialled up really well for the debut, the latest over 950m and the good lead for her into this is that Pike is booked. Happy to be in her corner.

1 Dawn Dancer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for Ryan Hill, having not raced since his debut back in October here when second to All On Red. Looks to have trialled up really well for the return, watch betting and see what it does.

2 Western Splendour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since debuting in the Platinum Plate when off speed and was never really a factor. Better for the run, he has trialled well prior, I am not dismissing.

3 Sonoftheboss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will do me each way in what looks an open contest. He is four weeks between runs since racing over 1200m here when on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite run it the six furlongs. Back to 1000m, he’ll jump, run and be hard to get past.

2 Simply Thinkin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an Adam Durrant trained mare that resumes. This girl is first up, having not raced since Aug 9 when down the track over 1200m at Pinjarra. She is a mare who can sprint well fresh and has trialled well so watch betting.

4 Tycoon Harry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) broke a long run of outs when a dominant track/distance winner five weeks back. He led throughout and gave nothing else a look in. If he runs up to that effort here, he’s dangerous against these.

2 Western Ace (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good prospect for Trevor Andrews. Three weeks between runs since a maiden win here, sitting wide no cover but was trucking under Pike before being clicked up and gee he was powerful in the run to the line. If he’s taken no harm from that, he’s clearly the one to beat.

6 Bradbury’s Moment (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door. He ran second in a 1300m Pinjarra maiden just under three weeks ago, settling off speed and he tried hard but had to settle for the runner up spot. Tricky gate but he has talent and can threaten.

1 Major Flirt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after a maiden win three weeks back over 1200m here. He was big odds but gave them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. Not sure he is good enough to win but is one to be included in exotics.

3 Grand Reserve (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a strong winner two back before going to the Westspeed Cup three weeks ago where he did work on speed and just felt the pinch late in the piece. Think with a better run in transit, he’ll take holding out.

2 Kisses From Kelly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second in the Westspeed Cup. He got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. He has found positive form, he can go on with it.

1 Iowa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key chance I feel. He ran last Saturday in the Mandurah Cup where he raced over a trip clearly short of his best but he kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat. Better set up here, he’s in the mix.

6 Cashel Palace (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a promising mare that was a big winner on New Years Day at this track/distance, giving them a start and a beating in a very impressive display. Harder here, but think she can measure up.

5 Timeless Gem (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after a win here four weeks ago over 1200m, settling near the speed before being presented, let down and was too good in the run to the line. 1400m should be fine, he’s one of the leading contenders.

4 Famous Dain (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Pearce trained gelding that resumes. He really came of age when last in work, really establishing himself as a Saturday class animal. He might want a touch further but does have quality so watch betting.

1 All Grunt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) might be on the short side for him but he does look to have a touch of class on his side against these and I’ll bank on that class getting him home. He resumes and with two strong trials under the belt, the intent looks to be there to say he’ll run really well.

4 Howdy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Former Victorian that makes his WA debut. He has been a frustrating horse to follow at times but new stable, new state, trials have been encouraging…watch betting and see what it does.

6 Chino La Diva (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran just under two weeks back at Bunbury when near the speed throughout and did try hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Handy horse when right, I am not dismissing.

9 Jaz Session (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat up in trip. She ran in the Summer Scorcher when badly held up, trying to get clear air. She got clear late and was strong to the line when second to Madhi Girl. Up to 1100m, maps ideally, she’ll take holding out.

6 Madhi Girl (Bet Now:  $SP.00) trialled up really well prior to resuming in the Summer Scorcher. She got a peach ride by Pike and drove hard when it mattered to score. Tricky gate but she commands respect.

10 Keep Reading (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a sleeper at odds. He comes through the Summer Scorcher where he got back in the run and although held up at times, he was good late. Not sure he is good enough to win but he can run first four.

8 Triple The Chant (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one to beat. She resumed three weeks ago over 1200m here in the Epona Classic where she got back to near last in the run but I really liked the way she closed her race off in defeat. Fitter and up to 1400m, she will take a power of beating.

5 Rally The Troops (Bet Now:  $SP.00) loves the 1400m and comes to town off the back of a win over this trip at Bunbury, getting the beaut run in transit and finished best to score. Very genuine animal that should be around the mark.

11 Snippy Sean (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1200m where when landing on speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Hard fit and with a more patient steer, he’ll be far more effective.
