Wolfden Review
Wolfden is one of of the new online bookmakers in Australia, which has the backing and support of some of the more respected punters in the country.
Richard Irvine is a well known punter who was the main man behind the minimum bet laws being introduced and he is a public figure when it comes to Wolfden, so if he’s using it, you know it’s a site that can be trusted.
It’s a site you can trust…provided you can actually get to it. Using a desktop, the website isn’t able to be loaded and you have to use a mobile devide in order to get it, so there are issues in that regard, but once you do get to it, it’s pretty impressive relative to their rivals.
It’s a predominantly grey website with white writing, with the font size not being the best and for some things, like how long it is til the a certain race jumps, you do need to squint your eyes to confirm, so that side of things can be improved.
Their expertise is racing and the markets confirm that. They are strong, covering all Australian race meetings, along with a stack of international programs, some of which that the TAB doesn’t offer, so in that regard, they get a tick.
The promotions they have aren’t exactly great compared to the big boys like TAB and Sportsbet, but it seems like they are there for mainly professional punters so promotions aren’t exactly a necessity whereas if they were trying to target recreational punters, the promotions would need to improve big time.
An interesting component of Wolfden is they have ‘Howls’. Basically it’s like a form of Twitter where members can ‘Howl’, whether it be posting thoughts on racing, sports or just life in general. in today’s age, people can be limited and have to stay in their lane re expressing an opinion, but on Wolfden, you can say as you please, and winners are there to be had if you read through.
Their racing markets are quite strong but that can’t be said for what they provide re sports. There is around 15 sports available, including the main ones of AFL, NRL and NBA, but the big tick is that they have plenty of market options in the sports. The NRL Grand Final is a good example. Some of the new bookies only have around 25-30 markets for the game whereas Wolfden has around double that, which is impressive for a start up bookie.
Should I Bet with Wolfden?
Overall Wolfden really does not offer punters anything more than bookies such as Neds / Ladbrokes or betr who we would definitely recommend punters bet with instead but if you are looking for a new bookie we would recommend swiftbet, Palmerbet or PlayUp.
Online bookmaker Unibet are also offering a $200 matched bet when you sign-up so make sure you check them out.

Do Wolfden offer a sign-up bonus?
No. Wolfden do not offer new customers a sign-up bonus. New legislation prevents bookmakers giving new customers incentives but that does not mean you should not bet with Wolfden.
