Punt123 is one of a number of wagering operators that have gone online in recent times, with the BetMakers technology being used for them to go online.

The bookmaker has been around for roughly 15 years but have recently gone online, matching up with pretty much every one of their rivals. Given they use the BetMakers technology, the website is the standard three panel format, with menu on the left, odds in the middle and the betslip on the right.

Their logo/brand is a standout compared to some of their rivals. The problem is that they are relatively unknown. They don’t have any notable social media as far as I know so promoting themselves and trying to attract punters is something they are seriously lacking, so that is an aspect of their work model that needs work.

Racing is their expertise, so with that, their racing markets are strong in terms of the meetings they cover, both Australian and overseas meetings. The knock is that their odds don’t stack up with their counterparts. They cuddle their prices and aren’t willing to take something on.

Their sporting markets are really poor compared to others. They cover the bare minimum of sports, although they do cover the main ones for Australian punters ie AFL, NRL and NBA. That said, their markets on certain sporting events are ordinary. A good example of this is the NRL Grand Final between the Panthers and Eels. Big boys like TAB and Sportsbet have 150 markets on the game. Compare that with Punt123, they only have three markets available. When you line that up with the rest, that is shocking and nowhere near good ending, especially given they also have same game multi as a betting option.

The promotions they have cover both racing and sports, but they aren’t that great relative to their rivals. They are a bit limited and they are nothing to get excited about. To try and entice new punters, if it’s not going to be decent odds/markets, then promotions need to be much better.

They have live vision of racing, thanks to Sky Racing, but they don’t cover all the meetings, like bookies such as Ladbrokes and Bet365 do, but it’s okay for a new website. The customer service is poor. Numerous reviews on app pages suggest that their customer service representatives are rude and don’t have patience. Customer service is paramount, no matter what business you’re involved in, so the fact it’s poor, from what I can read on app reviews, is a huge concern.
