MintBet Review

MintBet is one the more popular bookmakers in Australia outside the major betting agencies, having been in operation since 1927. They mainly did their work on the track but have gone online in recent years and it’s easy to see why they are popular, with that popularity growing.

As the name would suggest, MintBet and their layout is predominantly green, which stands it out from the rest, even the TAB, which also has green as their main colour. They use the BetMakers technology, so with that, their website and app is very easy to use with no lag time.

Most bookies just put up markets and promotions and that’s it. MintBet stands out when it comes to content. They have a very active Twitter profile that promote their site on a daily basis but it’s the content that impresses me. They have experts on both greyhound racing and horse racing, with a new addition being Ben Clifton, who was at Sportsbet and does race reviews for the site, something that pretty much no other waging operator does.

They have a sister website in MintSports, which is mainly just good banter with tips and previews on all things sport along with a host of competitions run, so again, a big tick for them compared to the rest.

Their promotions are very good relative to the other waging operators, with bonus back offers on a host of races across horse racing and greyhound racing, as well as good bonus back offers for both the AFL and NRL. Promotions are a big selling point for the recereational punter and MintBet are strong in that area.

The knock is the lack of markets on key sports, a good example being the NRL Preliminary Final between the Panthers and Rabbitohs. MintBet only have 30 markets available for the game. Compare that to Sportsbet, which have 150m markets, it’s chalk and cheese, which is something they can work.

Their markets and odds stack up very well compared to their rivals, notably their racing markets, which is easy to understand given the history of them goes back several generations, so they have intimate knowledge of how to be a waging operator and not going in head first with next to no idea of what to do. Big tick in that regard.

Overall, their overall product and brand is one of the best in the business. The big win for them is the content they produce outside the betting. The reviews, previews of both racing and sports is in depth from experts, with those providing those being quite respected in the gambling circle. Highly recommend signing up with MintBet.

Should I Bet with MintBet?

Overall Mintbet really does not offer punters anything more than bookies such as Neds /Β Ladbrokes or betr who we would definitely recommend punters bet with instead but if you are looking for a new bookie we would recommend swiftbet, PalmerbetΒ orΒ PlayUp.

How can I bet with MintBet?

Should I bet with MintBet?

MintBet is one of the leading online bookmakers in Australia and we highly recommend them for all horse racing and sports betting. Their desktop site and mobile app make it simple to place a bet on any race or sporting event. View our full MintBet review here.

Do MintBet offer a sign-up bonus?

No. MintBet do not offer new customers a sign-up bonus. New legislation prevents bookmakers giving new customers incentives but that does not mean you should not bet with MintBet.
