Snow Fairy has continued her preparations for a seasonal comeback with a pleasing gallop at Sandown.
The multiple Group One-winning mare has been absent since she picked up an injury towards the end of last year.
She missed a possible engagement in the Nassau Stakes last week but if all goes to plan she will run in the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville on August 19.
“Sandown kindly let her and a lead horse gallop,” trainer Ed Dunlop said.
“She worked over a mile (1600m) and I was happy with how she went.
“Depending on how she comes out of that we are tempted to start her off in the Romanet over a mile and a quarter on Sunday week.
“Obviously it will be ground dependant but they tell me it is very nice weather in Deauville now. It’s drying out but as we know things can change on that front.
“If we were to miss that, logically it would be the Yorkshire Oaks.
“We haven’t decided anything about the end of the season, we’re taking it one step at a time.
“We need to get her back on a racecourse. She’s entered in the Champion Stakes, the Irish Champion and the Arc and the Opera but we haven’t dreamt that far ahead yet.
“Like last year I’m sure she’ll improve for her first run and we’ll see how we go.”
