Hollie Doyle ready to return to the saddle

Star jockey Hollie Doyle is set to make her return to the track at Newcastle on Friday, riding Rhythm N Hooves, after recovering from an elbow injury sustained in a fall at Wolverhampton in January. Doyle experienced complications during her rehabilitation, requiring a delicate surgery to repair ruptured ligaments.

Doyle expressed her excitement to return, saying, “Thankfully they’re sorted out now and I’m ready to go.” She’s also slated to ride four horses on the first day of the turf season, including partnering with Richard Spencer-trained Revich in Saturday’s Pertemps Network Lincoln.

Doyle shared her optimism about riding Revich and Tempus, as well as last year’s Coventry Stakes winner, Bradsell. “Bradsell looks in terrific form and he could be anything,” she said. Doyle also anticipates reuniting with Nashwa and Trueshan, who might compete in the Further Flight at Nottingham.

The jockey credited her positive outlook to having high-quality horses to look forward to, saying, “I’m really lucky because some jockeys don’t have as much to look forward to as I have, so it’s kept me positive.”
