8/10/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Happy Valley

Nine races have been set down for Happy Valley this Wednesday night where the depth looks pretty good.

6 Leather Master (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the opener. He has been solid in two runs this time in, both coming over at Sha Tin, with the latest being over 1800m when off speed and he kept on finding the line. Much better record at Happy Valley, maps to settle much closer and be effective at the end.

2 Storm Runner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth in the same race that Leather Master contested, won by Hakka Radiance. He got into a decent spot in transit behind the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Better for the run, Purton aboard, he rates highly.

4 Windicator Family (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Wednesday over 1400m at Sha Tin. He tried hard but just lacked the change up speed in the straight so I like him up to 1800m and overall, this isn’t a deep contest.

2 Sturdy Ruby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating here I say. He resumed several weeks ago at this track/distance where he got a mile out of his ground but I really liked the way he closed his face off from the back. If he can use the inside gate and settle closer, he’s one of the leading contenders.

1 Quantum Patch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has returned well and is a key threat. He ran second in the race mentioned above. He too was off speed but settled much closer and was within range to win but just found one better. Fitter, he rates highly.

7 Joyful Prosperity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Danny Shum trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since June 25 when down the track at this track/distance. Loois to have trialled well for the return so watch betting.

2 New Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play. He resumed at this track/distance when off speed and spotted those in front a start but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat. If he can settle closer, be within range, he can take this out.

1 California Deeply (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since resuming at this trip at Sha Tin where he got into a reasonable spot in transit and was there to threaten but just whacked in the run to the line. Back to this level, he commands respect.

3 Motoman (Bet Now:  $SP.00) loves racing at Happy Valley and is a big improver after resuming at this track/distance where the market kept him relatively safe but he didn’t fire a shot. Fitter, can settle on speed, his best is good enough.

2 Forerunner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me here. He resumed over 1400m at Sha Tin where he got a mile out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was more than sound I thought. Has run well at this track/distance previously and this isn’t a deep contest.

8 Fortune Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Mark Newnham trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since June 25 when a real eye catcher at this track/distance. He’ll likely spot them a start again but has trialled well and will be quite strong at the end.

1 The Azure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Wrote that resumes for Frankie Lor. He was down the track in the same race that Fortune Star contested last year but I think was a tired horse. He looks to have trialled well for his return and loves the track/distance so watch betting.

5 Harmony Fire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me. Several weeks between runs since a first up track/distance win when on speed and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good racing style, fitter, one of the hardest to beat.

1 Parent’s Love (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing down the straight at Sha Tin when near the speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when third. Good racing style and is better suited around a bend vs the straight.

6 Amazing Kid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Exceed And Excel that resumes for John Size. He is second up after resuming over 1200m at Happy Valley where he just looked in need of the run. Back to a fast run 1000m, he’s dangerous.

3 Star Contact (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came at this track/distance when on speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when second. Better for the run and Purton on, he rates highly.

6 Keen Molly (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile after resuming over 1400m at Sha Tin. He was near the speed and he tried hard but first up, condition just gave way late in the piece. Fitter and up in trip, good upside to come, he’s one of the leading contenders.

2 Call Me Topseed (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Dubawi that resumes. He had two runs when last in work and didn’t really fire a shot. Given a good break and his trial work has been encouraging so watch the market.

2 Denfield (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top. He resumed at this track/distance where he got back to near last in the run but closed with real purpose in a good effort in defeat behind Bienvenue. If he can settle closer, be within range, he’ll take holding out.

3 Grand Nova (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1000m here a few weeks ago. He got back off speed and worked home well without threatening behind Harmony Fire. Tick over trial was sharp, he’ll be strong late…leading contender.

9 Happy Park (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Duporth that resumes. He is first up, with his last run coming at this track/distance on July 9 when on speed and tired late behind Ace Power. Trials have been so so but with his best, he is more than capable.

8 Master Champion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one to beat after a dominant track/distance win last start when near the speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win and win well. His confidence is up, he can go on with it.

6 Bundle Of Charm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has run well at Happy Valley previously and returns here after racing over this trip at Sha Tin last start. He got into a decent spot off speed and worked home well without threatening behind Little Paradise. Maps to get a sweet trip and be effective late.

2 Spicy Gold (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after resuming over 1000m here when dragged back from the wide gate and was never really a factor behind Superb Capitalist. Much better suited at 1200m and with a more positive ride, he can win.

10 Victor The Rapid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the get out. He ran over the mile here a few weeks ago when off speed and spotted those in front a start but his finale was more than sound in defeat I thought behind Rocket Spade. Back to a fast run 1200m, he’ll sit back and hopefully launch late.

8 Mighty Comamnder (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since a first up track/distance win where he gave them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on to win and win well. Gets down in the weights after the claim, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

4 Kyrus Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Safeguard that resumes for David Hall. He is first up, having not raced since July 16 over this track/distance when back near last and made up ground without threatening. Likely spots them a start again but will be strong at the end.
