1 Good Luck Happy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Maps ideally, Purton aboard, he clearly rates highly for me.

2 Great Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third to Winning Money two weeks ago at this track/distance. He got a fair way out of his ground but I did like the way he closed his race off in defeat. Can settle closer, he’ll take beating against these.

3 Packing King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was down the track in the Winning Money race mentioned above. He got put into a nice spot and was there to threaten I thought but he just whacked. Not sure he wins but can run to

4 Giant Ballon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. He ran three weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and closed with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat I thought. Will need luck from the gate but if he gets it, he’ll take holding out.

2 Victor The Rapid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was a definite pass mark. If he can be within range, he’ll take holding out.

5 Majestic Life (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since debuting over this trip at Sha Tin. He got off speed and was never really a factor when down the track. Better suited here, I am not dismissing him.

2 Helene Feeling (Bet Now:  $SP.00) loved the track/distance and with that in mind, he’s top seed, and comfortably. He ran in the January Cup last start when off speed and chased with purpose in defeat when third. Back to the mile, hard fit and in form, he rates highly.

3 Huge Wave (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second in the January Cup last start. He got off speed and worked home strongly late, beaten narrowly. Maps to settle closer, he’ll be strong late, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

1 Moments In Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the January Cup. He got back to near last in the run and was never really a threat. If he can settle closer in the run and be within range, he’s dangerous against these.

7 Take Action (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m after racing over the mile here last Wednesday night. He got back off speed and worked home with purpose when second. Like him up in trip and if within range, he has the finale to launch over the top and win.

4 Hakka Radiance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since New Years Day over 2000m at Sha Tin where he tried hard but just didn’t quite run the trip out. Fresh legs, back in trip, he only runs well.

2 Nearly Fine (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since racing over the mile here. He got back to near last in the run and was never a factor when down the track. Tick over trial was solid and if he brings his best, he can take this out.

3 California Moxie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the straight bat play. He placed four weeks ago at this track/distance when getting a fair way back off speed and was good late when third. Trialled up well since and will be stronger than most at the end.

5 Glorious Journey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a total forgive from three weeks ago at this track/distance. He was wide no cover for the trip and the hard run just told late in the piece. Better run in transit, he’s dangerous against these.

7 Turin Warrior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran three weeks back at this track/distance where he got dragged back from the wide gate and was never a factor. If he can get a drag into the race, he’ll be effective late and is a knockout hope.

4 Eternal Fortune (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me. He placed four weeks ago at this track/distance when near the speed and was there to win but just couldn’t quite see it through. Tricky gate but this looks a race well within his reach.

11 Pi Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous. He ran over 1200m at Sha Tin just over a fortnight back. He got into a decent spot and was there to threaten but just whacked late. Maps ideally, back to 1000m and gets Purton aboard.

5 Candlelight Dinner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing over 1200m at Sha Tin on New Years Day. He landed off speed and was never really a factor in a plain effort. He’ll spot them a start but be strong at the end.

5 Perfectday (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned in really good order and despite the wide gate, is the straight bat play. Both runs back have come at this track/distance, resuming with a bang in giving his rivals a start and a beating. He then ran second three weeks ago to Mighty Commander, again sitting off speed but worked home with purpose. If he can overcome the wide gate, he’s the one to beat.

1 Romantic Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a narrow but impressive track/distance winner last Wednesday night. He got into a dream spot just off speed and despite the margin being narrow, I thought there was a lot of merit to the performance. Tricky gate, but commands respect.

7 Charming Babe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and is dangerous against these. He ran over this trip at Sha Tin last time and was far from disgraced in defeat behind Blazing Wind. Maps ideally and will be effective late. Not dismissing.

2 Storm Rider (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for David Hayes and despite the big weight, I am happy to be in his corner. He was an impressive winner three weeks ago at this track/distance, sitting off the speed before being presented clear air and let down nicely to score. Hard to knock the way he’s racing, he’s on top for me.

8 Regal Gem (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Storm Rider in the race mentioned above. He got back in the run and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was good in defeat when second. If he can overcome the wide draw, he can win.

9 Youthful Spirits (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good racing style and is a knockout hope if the track is playing up/in. He finished down the track behind Storm Rider in the race mentioned above, leading and tiring late in the piece. If he gets conditions to suit, he’ll run a cheeky race.

6 Fortunate Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning in the get out. He was an impressive track/distance winner from three weeks ago, settling off speed. Just needed clear air and once that eventuated, away he went to win and win well. Happy to be with him.

5 Corleone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since a track/distance placing. He had the run of the race in behind the speed and presented to win but just found one better in Solid Win. Maps perfect, tick over trial was good and gets in well after the claim.

10 Lo Pan Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the Solid Win race when on speed throughout and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through and felt the pinch late. Good racing style and with front end control, is quite dangerous against these.
