Ric Chapman takes us through every race on the Thursday morning Woodbine card and finds these are the best chances in each event. Good luck folks.
Race 1 2000m Turf – 8.45am
Dual acceptors work in any racing jurisdiction and HOLYANNA fits that bill here. She was entered in a winnable race last weekend but was scratched for this race. Her only start to date was a slashing win here. Has the best rider and is from one of the very best stables. Hard to hold out. Natural front runner MACHO BOURBON looms large too. The trip is her biggest worry but is in winning form and looks the only leader here. PREFERRED GUEST is coming down in grade here after a useful fifth in the recent Woodbine Oaks. Sure to run on.

Race 2 1800m Turf – 9:15am
GRAY PHANTOM looms large here and gets the services of the wonder kid to ride. Has no weight to carry either and should be running on strongly in this. MACHO DANCER is interesting. Resumes here in a very easy race compared to what he competed against when last in work. Has won 4 races to date. If there is money for him, get on. BADJEROS BOY will be the fav and was just beaten similar race last start on the turf. Fitter now and is in a very strong stable.

Race 3 1100m Synthetic – 9:45am
GWENDOLINE H looks the bet of the day. She is unbeaten in 3 starts this year and goes down in class in this. Just knows how to win and has won 12 of 23 with 7 placings thus far. MADISON WAY is consistent and honest and did finish off gamely to score at this level last start. Shame he meets a stand out but should run on for 2nd. ISHIYAYA hasn’t drawn the best so may take a sit and finish into a place late.

Race 4 1800m Turf – 10.15am
IMMUNITY is coming back in grade and looked in need of the run when ridden to lead last start. Folded up in similar grade but that was against normal racing pattern. May sit and kick home this time. CITO is a hit and miss type. He can fire up and did place this grade on turf 2 starts back. Forgive poor run last start. CHRIS’ BREW is an old timer whose best days seem gone, but would win this easily if those best days ever returned. Has placed twice since resuming in this grade and can show up.

Race 5 1100m Synthetic – 10:46am
PRINCESS BRIE isn’t overly strong and has won just 2 from 8 starts to date. More significantly, has yet to place this time up in 2 runs but did make ground in stronger race last start to wind up 4th. Should get the cozy run from this inside draw and blinkers go on here. MOLINARO DEPUTY is getting on a bit but she still has some fight left in her. Generally is strong down the running. TIZ PRICELESS does look to have this race gift-wrapped for her. Won last start showing great speed this level and there is no other pace other than her in this so looks to lead all the way again.

Race 6 1300m Synthetic – 11:15am
CANTCATCHTHERAXX is one of those perennial luckless horses. Has won just 2 of 18 starts but as 8 placings as well. Blinkers come off here following placing this level and looms large. Needs luck in running though. SNELL FLICKA is the dark horse here. Ran on well in races that profoundly favoured the leader at his past 2 starts and placed. Sure to be a bit of pace this time and can run home. DILLY DALLY DARBY might be too good though. Comes up from Kenbtucky where she placed last start. This could be a lot easier.

Race 7 1300m Synthetic – 11:45am
TRAVOLTA is in terrific form and did finish too strongly to win an easier race in fair time last start. That was 2nd win from 3 starts this time up and is honest. JUROJIN was a better horse back in 2016 when a stakes winner but is slowly getting better. Ran on to place last start and this isn’t overly strong. Another race where there appears to be a solo pacemaker in COUNT FOREST. His form is weak of late but he’s coming off the turf to synthetic and if allowed to bowl along alone, this surface suits.
Tips: 1. (3) JUROJIN, 2. (9) Count Forest, 3, (1) Travolta
Race 8 1300m Synthetic – 12:15pm
PEACE CONTROL is trained by leading mentor Mark Casse and Luis Contreras, who is one of the best here, has the mount. She should be favourite on the back of her strong placing in tougher race on turf last start. Getting very fit now. PEUT ETRE is not overly talented but was caught between runners and didn’t fire a shot last start. More room here, better draw so may improve but will be big odds. The German bred DULCIBELLE is getting close to a win and this could be the race. Has placed twice this time up and will hit the wire strongly as this isn’t very tough.
