Ten races will be run and won at Sha Tin this Sunday, where it is Jockey Club Day, with all the key lead ups for International Day the drawcard.

I think 11 Made For Life (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can make a winning debut. Mark Newnham trained son of Pierata that is on debut off the back of three trials, each time looking quite impressive. Maps to get a perfect sit just off the speed and with the good grounding, 1200m on debut is fine.

6 Jubilant Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had two career runs, both at this track/distance. Did a really good job on debut when second before a sixth several weeks ago when just off speed and though held up at times, he did have his chance. Tricky draw but strikes a winnable race.

12 Precision Hope (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Vespa gelding that is on debut for David Hayes. He has had three trials under the belt to get ready and for the most part has been pretty good to my eye, the latest seeing him run fifth but moved nicely. Watch betting and see what it does.

2 Bright Day (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form, positive form, and he can certainly go on with it. Few weeks between runs since a track/distance win, giving them a start and a beating, producing a strong finish from off speed to score. Gate is tricky but with luck from the draw, he’ll be hard to hold out.

9 Sunny Q (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a few runs at 1200m now and is racing like 1400m will be ideal. His latest run was Oct 26 when off speed and worked home with real purpose late in the piece behind Goldentronicmighty when second. Like him up to 1400m and strikes a winnable race for mine.

1 Thousand Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to Class 4 grade and commands respect. His latest effort, he was on speed and did seem to have his chance but just whacked in the run to the line. Better suited here, he can run a much improved race.

1 Do Your Part (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play. He steps up to 1400m after racing over 1200m last start in the Goldentronicmighty race mentioned above. He attempted to lead throughout and gave a strong sight but just felt the pinch late. I think with a more patient steer, he can run 1400m and take this out.

7 Victory Champion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when getting a check early on and didn’t really finish his race off at all. Tick over trial was quite good and his prior efforts suggested a win was near so don’t drop off.

4 Circuit Marshal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Pride Of Dunai gelding for Mark Newnham that debuts. He has had extensive trial work to get ready for start one and for the most part has been pretty good from what I have seen. Maps to do no work and 1400m on debut tells me the horse is fit.

Hard to get away from 5 Gentleman Legacy (Bet Now:  $SP.00). He ran over this track/distance four weeks ago when getting off speed and did make up ground but was never really threatening when fourth. If he can settle a pair closer in the run, he’ll be strong late and hard to hold out.

1 Jumbo Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. Latest run came on Oct 15 at Happy Valley over 1800m when off speed, checked at times, but was solid enough in defeat. The rise to 2000m I do find interesting but talent wise, I think he’s nearly top seed.

9 Ariel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing last Saturday over the mile on the dirt when doing early work in the run but even allowing for that, he was pretty plain late. Hard horse to catch, but he gets right down in the weights after the claim and overall, this isn’t a deep contest.

7 Invincible Ibis (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be putting this field away. Kept on ice since Oct 1 when giving them a start and an absolute beating to win and win well. Tick over trial was good, he can settle much closer from the gate, be effective at the end…one of the best on the card.

1 Gracious Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is five weeks between runs since a track/distance win, settling off speed and drove hard late to win and win well. Liked a tick over trial from him last week and with the gate, claim, he can settle much closer and be effective late.

11 Smart Avenue (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the run, which came at this track/distance five weeks back when getting back to near last in the run and did make up headway but was never really threatening. If he can get a drag into the race, he’s dangerous.

1 Ka Ying Rising… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) need any more be said? He wasn’t at his best in The Everest yet he still made an absolute mess of them and smashed the clock in the process. Jimmysstar has well and truly franked the form, his trial since coming back was electric…not even bad luck stops him here and in the big one in a couple of weeks.

8 Tomodachi Kokoroe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has taken over from Helios Express as #2 to Ka Ying Rising. He’s progressive and clearly heading in the right direction. He had the weight pull in the Premier Bowl but even allowing for that, he was quite dominant. He’ll run very well behind the champ.

5 Beauty Waves (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the Premier Bowl behind Tomodachi Kokoroe. He seemingly had his chance in the run I thought but was quite weak late. Tick over trial was sharp though and if he brought his absolute best, he could run top four.

7 My Wish (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be winning this and then winning the big one in a couple of weeks time. 2/2 this time in, the latest being a stunning display and making a mess of his rivals in the Sha Tin Trophy, confirming his status as the best miler in Hong Kong. Maps perfect, trialled super behind Ka Ying Rising…all points to him.

2 Galaxy Patch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the key/only threat to My Wish. He ran sixth in the Sha Tin Trophy but I thought his run had a lot of merit given he was back from the wide gate, almost like a barrier trial, but loved the way he closed off. Maps to settle much closer in the run and gets J Mac aboard.

3 Beauty Eternal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is getting on in years but his recent trials suggest there are signs of life. He was plain behind My Wish in the race mentioned above, but he’s had two trials since, and to my eye he has gone really well. I think he’ll run a positive race at odds.

1 Romantic Warrior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) wins if he’s ready to go. The champ is back from injury and is back to claim his throne as the King of Hong Kong. J Mac was always going to stick with him over the horse mentioned down below and his trials to prepare for the return have been super. If he’s fit and firing, good luck beating him.

2 Voyage Bubble (Bet Now:  $SP.00) resumed in the Sha Tin Trophy and yes, he had 61kg, but the ride from Poon…it was all time bad. Dumb ride with dumb tactics and the horse was beaten 400m out. He’s a star in his own right, potentially even a champion. Purton is on, maps better, 2000m ideal…he’ll be there to pounce if the other champ is off his game.

4 Straight Arron (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will be better in the Vase I suspect but he’s returned very well. Loved his finale in the Sha Tin Trophy behind My Wish, clocking decent late splits in the process. I highly doubt he wins but can run top four.

3 Star Rise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat. J Mac on from a hard draw, he’ll take a power of beating.

8 Szeryng (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is two weeks between runs since a first up spank job win at this track/distance, getting better as the race went on to win and win well. His confidence is up, he can win again.

1 Public Attention (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Former Aussie galloper that makes his Hong kong debut off the back of extensive trial work and for the most part has been pretty good. Think he will win races…maybe not here but is a must for exotics.

7 Mr Bolt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps in the last. I think they’d love to get him to a Hong Kong Derby given he won over 1900m in Australia before being purchased. Forget his Hong Kong debut in June where he bled, finishing near last. Trials have been quite good to my eye and with bleeders, they either boom or bust. I think you’ll get a big price to find out either way.

4 Master Of All (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance where he got into a decent spot off speed and was there to win I thought but just couldn’t quite get there when a narrow second to Sky Heart. Tick over trial was good, maps ideally, leading chance.

2 Anode (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance two weeks back where he got off soeed and did seem to have his chance but just whacked in the run to the line behind Thriving Brothers. J mac on, and his best from Australia is clearly good enough. Don’t dismiss.

BEST BET: Race Eight Number 1 Romantic Warrior

NEXT BEST: Race Five Number 7 Invincible Ibis

LONG SHOT: Race Ten Number 7 Mr Bolt
