Race 1. (23:30) Albany Stakes 1207m
21 Sun Goddess (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is short but there is a reason for that. She could be the best juvenile in Europe. Did she beat a great deal at Curragh last time? No, but the manner in which she quickened, let down…my goodness it was that of an elite horse and if she holds her form, never mind natural improvement, good luck beating her.
20 Silent Beauty (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) made a good impression when a debut winner at Yarmouth. She tracked the speed and was trucking before being clicked up and was dominant in the run to the line. Good test here but think she can run well.
14 Libertango (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) was an impressive debut winner at Leicester, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive debut triumph. Maps to stalk the speed and should be effective at the end. One for exotics.
Race 2. (00:05) Commonwealth Cup 1207m
In recent years when Wesley Ward has brought runners to Royal Ascot, they are slugs/squibs. I could get sucked in here, but I think 10 Outfielder (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a rocket. 2/2 this time in, winning as he pleased when resuming at Turfway Park. That was on the dirt, but the last start win on the turf at Churchill Downs, gee it was impressive, chasing the tearaway leader and was strong to the line. I think he’s a great gamble at the odds.
1 Albert Einstein (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) comes through the Carnarvon at Newbury. He tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite get there when second. Versatility re racing style and good lead for his fans that Ryan Moore steers.
4 Charles Darwin (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) looked as if he’d be favourite for this race after a first up win at Navan but last start at Naas, he led and was tiring quite badly late. If you can forgive one poor run, he’s right up to these.
Race 3. (00:05) Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes 2406m
18 Regal Ulixes (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps. I want to forgive his last start effort at York given he was quite keen in the run behind the speed and was okay late but never threatening. 2400m should be ideal and if he can harness his energy, he takes beating at a price.
10 Hopewell Rock (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) resumed over this trip at Newmarket. He was off speed and held up at times. He did have his chance but was pretty good to the line I thought in defeat. Better for the run, he’s one of the hardest to beat.
9 Omni Man (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) steps up to 2400m after a first up run over the mile at Leopardstown where he was pretty much out there for a barrier trial. Fitter and up in trip, stable flying, he’s one of the knockout hopes.
Race 4. (01:20) Coronation Stakes 1603m
4 Precise (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) should be making a mess of these, like she did in the Irish 1000 Guineas, tracking the speed before being clicked up by Ryan Moore and she went through her gears like a star to win and win well. All things being equal, she has a bit on this lot.
9 True Love (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) ran second to Precise in the Irish 1000 Guineas. She got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but had no answers for Precise. She gets a good run once again and should be around the mark.
8 Touleen (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) ran down the track behind True Love in the UK 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. She tracked the speed and was there to threaten but tired late. Doubt she wins, but prior efforts were solid enough to run top four.
Race 5. (02:00) Sandringham Stakes 1609m
25 Passing Thought (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) each way for me. Impressive first up winner at Wetherby, giving them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on to win well. Clearly harder here, but maps to stalk the speed, drawn the right part of the track…only runs well.
12 Glyfada (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) commands respect. She has won her past two, firstly at Naas before an impressive display at Killarney. She’s flying this time around and drawn the right part of the track, she commands respect.
11 Quiet Mutiny (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) steps up to the mile after racing over 1400m at Curragh where she got back in the run and was held up at times, but was good late when eventually clear. The rise to 1600m is ideal and if within range, she has the finale to take this out.
Race 6. (02:35) King Edward Vll Stakes 2406m
6 Water To Wine (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) on top in what looks a two horse race. 2/2 to start his career, winning as he pleased at Newbury before repeating the dose in style at Kempton. He looks a real St Leger prospect and despite the clear class/depth rise, he’s top seed.
2 Causeway (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) has to step up to 2400m but gives every indication of being fine at it. Latest win was over 2000m at Curragh, getting better as the race went on to win well. Stable flying, can sit forward, he’ll be around the mark.
1 Ancient Egypt (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) should appreciate firmer footing. Track was too wet in the Derby at Epsom and was never a factor. Prior efforts were more than sound, his best is good enough to be dangerous at a price.
Race 7. (03:10) Palace Of Holyrood House Stakes 1006m
27 Starmade (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) in the get out. He didn’t beat much over 1200m at Newcastle last start but the manner in which he went about it was impressive and ran good time in the process. He’ll likely spot them a start but launch at them late.
18 Gold Digger (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) was an impressive first up winner over 1200m at Windsor, sitting off speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away she went to win and win well. Looks to have returned very well and is a leading contender.
17 Ipanema Queen (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is in the mix. Last run came over this trip at Curragh, tracking the pace and was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there. Good racing style, she can easily win this without surprising.
