A nine race card has been set down for Happy Valley on Wednesday night, with good depth across the program.

6 Modest Gentleman (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top for me in the opener. He was close up in defeat two back at this track/distance before going to 1200m at Sha Tin where he tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Back to where he races best, I say he takes beating.

7 Ragnarr (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after attempting to lead throughout over 1200m here two weeks ago, giving a solid kick from the front but was nabbed late. Back in trip suits and has a good racing style.

2 Spicy So Smart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since March 12 where he got back to near last in the run over 1200m and was never a factor. He’ll get back but should be strong late and is a knockout chance.

4 Floof (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be getting better with racing and rising to 2200m third up, he should prove hard to beat. He ran over 1800m here last Wednesday where he got off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat. Not a deep race and with upside to come, he’s the one to beat.

1 Midori Giant (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is unknown at the trip but ability wise, he is one of the best in the race. He ran over 1800m last time and seemingly had his chance but was far from disgraced in defeat. If the trip is fine, then he is a threat.

11 Perfect Pairing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like 2200m will be ideal. He ran over 2000m at Sha Tin last time out where he got back to near last in the run but you had to like the way he finished his race off in defeat. If he can be within range, he has the finale to take this out.

6 Amazing Award (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks one of the better bets on the card. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose late when third. Hopefully with a more positive ride, he’ll take a power of beating.

2 Thesis (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a pretty good track/distance record and suspect that will continue here. Placed here two back before going to the mile on the Sha Tin dirt when far from disgraced in defeat. Back to where he races best, he is one of the leading contenders.

1 Sure Joyful (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got back to near last and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was pretty good in defeat. If he’s within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

4 Power Koepp (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That last start came at this track/distance where he gave them a start, a beating and was impressive. Tick over trial was strong and he seems to have struck a winnable race again.

7 Giant Leap (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to Class 3 grade after a track/distance win at Class 4 grade two weeks ago, finishing best after getting a good run in transit near the speed. He can measure up for sure.

2 Romantic Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran two weeks back at this track/distance where he got back from the wide gate and was never really a winning threat. Maps much better here, he can bounce back and run a much improved race.

3 Sunday’s Serenade (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can certainly maintain it against these. He is a few weeks between runs since a track/distance win, giving them a start and a beating. Winnable race again, he’s the one to beat.

5 Soaring Bronco (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for for track/distance placing last start. It was his first look at Happy Valley and he was a real eye catcher, working home with real purpose late in the piece. Can settle closer, he’s one of the leading contenders.

2 Forever Glorious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is five weeks between runs since a down the track effort over this track/distance where he was off speed and was never really a threat. Not sure he is good enough to win but can run top four.

3 Eason (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t won in a long time but I do think he’s flying at the moment and knocking on the door. He hasn’t raced since March 12 at this track/distance where he got back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose behind Happy Fat Cat. Has a gate to settle much closer in the run and be effective late. Keen to be involved.

6 Crimson Flash (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t quite lived up to the hype from his debut win at Wyong but I will say that this is one of the weaker races he has contested since arriving. He has been racing at Sha Tin and for the most part has been far from disgraced. Blinkers first time, he commands respect.

1 Bundle Of Charm (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been given a mini freshen up since March 26 when down the track on the Sha Tin dirt over the mile, not quite 100% happy on the surface. Back in trip, he has run well here previously…knockout hope I say.

10 Loving Vibes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play for me. He ran over this trip at Sha Tin last time out when near the speed and he tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Joyful Treasure. Purton on, good racing style, hard fit and in form…he looks the one.

8 Glory B (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner for Douglas Whyte. He hasn’t raced since March 12 at this track/distance when a fair way out of his ground but I really liked the way he closed his race off in defeat. He’ll spot them a start but be strong late.

5 Casa Rubick (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a well bred gelding that is on debut for Jamie Richards. He is by Rubick out of a Zabeel mare so the pedigree is there to say he has talent and his trial work hasn’t been too bad so I say watch betting and see what it does.

Leaning towards 4 Great Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00). This gelding comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since March 12 when a track/distance winner, getting the suck run in behind before angling clear and knuckled down with purpose late to score. He’s found winning form, he’s genuine and strikes a winnable race.

5 Lucky Planet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a pretty solid record at Happy Valley but was a last start winner at Sha Tin, leading throughout and was quite strong/dominant in the run to the line. Back to Happy Valley, he clearly appeals as a key prospect.

3 Never Too Soon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a tricky gate to overcome but I do think he is more than capable. He ran over this track/distance several weeks back whre he was near last in the run but made up decent headway and was good in defeat. If he can get a drag into the race, he’s dangerous.

11 A Americ Te Specso (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the each way play in the get out. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was pretty good in defeat. Has a gate to settle much closer in the run and hopefully be effective late.

9 Sturdy Ruby (Bet Now:  $SP.00) placed at this track/distance last time out and was pretty good in defeat, working home well enough in defeat when second to M Unicorn. The gate is quite tricky to overcome, but if he can, he’s going well enough to threaten.

2 Lovero (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran two weeks back at this track/distance when drawing wide, doing early, but he stuck on and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Maps much better this time around and is one of the leading contenders.
