Race 1 8:45am 1700m Turf
The fact whiz kid Kazushi Kimura has been engaged for ORBORTUNISTIC suggests she has a chance here. Was not a factor late in a much harder claiming race last start but was first up. This is easier and she is fitter. MAXIMUM ENTROPY is a good finisher on her day and she is now 3rd up at a trip that will suit. The long straight here is in her favour too. CRUMLIN TIME is on a quick back up for Canadian trained horses. She raced 10 days back and should be rock hard now. Sits sand stalks just off the pace and is honest.

Race 2 9:18am 1700m Turf
GIOVANNA PONTI has won 3 races and ran on Ok when resuming last start. This is no harder and she should be fitter. DEESSE NIKE looks perfectly placed here. Loomed as they turned last start but condition gave out in a much stronger race. Can sit behind pace and finish like a train this time. LADY BELLA has won 4 times already and is suited this trip. Grade is no issue either.

Race 3 9:50am 1200m Turf
There is a feeling around following some nice works that HURRICANE EMILY could be the play in this big field. She will get out and be on the pace all the way and gets blinkers for the first time here for new trainer. Watch market. BIG MAMBA is the baby of the field but did win mdn impressively 2 runs back. Importantly that win was on turf and this isn’t all that much harder. RED RIOT’s only win to date was here over 1400m. This big field might suit as many will be trapped deep while she gets a cushy run in behind the pace.

Race 4 10:20am 1100m Synthetic
If BANANA RAMA steps away here she could find herself right in the vanguard all the way and at big odds. Not a great deal of depth in this. MOON OVER VICTORIA has been right there to win past 2 starts since spell and just couldn’t finish them off. Drops in class here and is fitter now so can make her presence felt. SWEET BRYNLIE is a lightly raced full-sister to a stakes winner around here. And she has new trainer now. Tough draw but she has the talent and is in lowest level race she’s ever faced.

Race 5 10:51am 1200m Synthetic
Top rider Eurico de Silva is on a tough filly called DREAMIN’ ON A CLOUD who can finish her races off. Did beat similar grade 2 runs back and is very fit following good placing last start when running on late. Too maty things say she wins this. MOONSTONE may make a race of it though. Has speed and died late when leading a tougher grade last start. This is easier and it is shorter. ADELLE’S PRINCESS has new trainer here after being claimed in a much, much harder race last start where she pulled up. Also gets to wear blinkers for first time.

Race 6 11:20am 1100m Synthetic
This just looks set up for HAILEY’S PRIZE. Gets the perfect draw here and can lob in behind a hot speed. Was 4th at stakes level once, has won 4 times and is in for just a $9500 claimer, which is pretty low. Gets the top jock to ride also. CYPRESS PARK brings new form lines to Woodbine coming in from Vancouver where it is usually a little weaker. Saying that, comes here with good, consistent form. SKY VISION has drawn wide but is very fast and probably flies the lids here hoping for a solo lead. If first around bend can take catching.

Race 7 $100,000 Stakes 11:50am 1700m Turf
This is the big race on the card. SHE’S THE BERRIES is a multiple stakes winner around here and is very fit. Trainer Mark Casse won a leg of the Triple Crown this year and whenever he brings one to Woodbine for a stakes race, it runs very, very well. Has the rails and should sit 3rd until they turn then go bang. ZESTINA is a stakes winner and is in form with terrific runs of late without winning in recent stakes races. Will settle into a great rhythm just off the speed and does have late dash. If they elect to go back early with MISS SEA she can come down the centre of the track at a hundred miles an hour. Stakes placed last start beating a few of these home when resuming. Fitter now.

Race 8 12:16pm 1200m Synthetic
MOLINARO DEPUTY is racing in career best form and looks well placed. That’s providing she sees daylight. Likes to let the pace go and run on. Did that in tougher race last start when a fast closing 4th. FOREST HALO is interesting. She came home hard to win a stronger race last start and despite big handicap weight, she looks well placed as this is easier. Is in form and has the top rider. DILLY DALLY DARBY will probably be odds on as she failed by a nostril last start when erratic late in the race. Got tired that day. Should be fitter now and carries no weight.
