Eleven races have been set down for Sha Tin on Sunday, with good depth across the program.

5 Fight Time (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He ran over the mile here three weeks ago where he got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’ quite get involed late behind Mister Dapper. Like him back to 1400m and gets a big upgrade with Purton taking over.

4 Sight Dreamer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was 1400m back to 1200m when racing here a fortnight back, getting a mile out of his ground and was good late in the piece when third to King Oberon. He’ll love getting to 1400m and overall, this is a very thin contest.

9 The Concentration (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is five weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He copped a check at the start and I reckon that sealed his fate as a winning chance but was far from disgraced in defeat behind Sky Prophet. Tick over trial was pretty good and he should be strong late.

5 Apolar Fighter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for David Eustace. His last couple of runs have come over the mile here, the latest being last Saturday when off speed and chased strongly in the straight when third to Celtic Times. Back to 1400m, hard fit, kind map, he’s the one for me.

1 Circuit Mighty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He landed on speed throughout and tried his guts out but just couldn’t quite finish the job when second to Lucky Man. Tricky draw but will press forward and be around the mark.

8 Verbier (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Casper Fownes, having not raced since May 21 over the mile at Happy Valley when leading and tiring late to finish down the track. Tick over trial work has been strong and he gets in well after the claim.

9 Noble Fans (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks hard to beat for John Size. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago when off speed and chased with purpose late in the piece when second to Lucky My Way. He’s found positive form and he can certainly go on with it.

1 Fun N Fun Together (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance four weeks ago and was pretty good in defeat I thought. He landed on speed and gave a decent kick but the end of the race, he just felt the pinch. Gets in well after the claim, he’ll press forward and be dangerous.

4 Parterre (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth in the Lucky My Way race mentioned above. He did work from the wide gate to land on speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through, but the run was still full of merit. Better for the run, he’s in the mix.

Taking a chance on 4 Fortune Superstar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) in what looks a bludger of a contest. He resumes for Mark Newnham, having not raced since Feb 26 at Happy Valley over the 2200m when off speed and chased well enough but did seemingly have his chance I thought. Fresh at 1400m is interesting but looks to have trialled well and a good lead is Purton booked.

1 Fun Together (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That win came at this track/distance three weeks ago, getting a beaut run in transit before angling clear and finished best to score. Heading in the right direction and is one of the key prospects.

6 Sunset Trail (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of The Mission that is on debut for David Eustace. He has had extensive trial work to get ready for start one and hasn’t been too bad to my eye, and gets Bowman, so I say watch betting and see what it does.

10 Star Brose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win a maiden and i think he gets his chance here. He ran over this track/distance just under two weeks ago. He didn’t have the best of luck in the run but was good late in the piece when third. Purton sticks and if the breaks go his way, he’ll take beating.

7 California Moxie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done his recent racing at Happy Valley so will be interesting to see how he goes at Sha Tin. His latest run came on June 25 when off speed and presented to win but couldn’t quite get there when third. Tricky draw but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

12 Jolly Jumper (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile again after being 1600m to 1400m just under two weeks back when getting into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just lacked the finale to go with them late in the piece. Horror draw, but with good cover, he’s dangerous.

8 Smart Fat Cat (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks extremely hard to beat here after a track/distance run three weeks ago, getting a fair way out of his ground but loved the way he found the line late in the piece. If within range, I think his finale will be too much.

1 Voyage Boss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1200m here when wide no cover for the trip and the hard run just told on her late in the piece, tiring. Better run in transit this time around, 1400m should be fine and appeals.

4 Super Love (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was 1400m back to 1200m last start. He got off speed and was good late in defeat without threatening. The rise back up to 1400m I like and while I doubt he wins, he runs top four.

6 Rainbow Seven (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in three career runs. Just needs to put a win on the board and I think he gets his chance here. Latest run saw him run third at this track/distance, getting off speed and worked home well. Bursting to win and he gets a great chance here.

5 Bulb General (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Embellish that resumes for Jamie Richards. He is first up, having not raced since his debut back in February at this track/distance when being a real eye catcher late behind Crossborderpegasus. Looks to have trialled well leading in and gets Purton booked.

3 Beauty Missile (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after racing over 1400m here last time out. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was pretty good. He’ll spot them a start but be strong at the end.

7 Bundle Award (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a tricky draw to overcome but rates highly for me. He ran three weeks ago in the Premier Plate and was a real eye catcher late, working home strongly from the back behind Beauty Joy. If he can get a drag into the race, he’ll take beating.

1 Beauty Joy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a veteran but maintains a heathy zest for racing, his latest start being a surprise win in the Premier Plate when knocking down with purpose late to win and win well. If he can reproduce that effort here, he’ll be around the mark.

3 Beauty Eternal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) would blow these away if he produced his best. He hasn’t produced it in some time but this isn’t a deep contest. He ran in the Premier Plate when off speed and seemed to have his chance but just battled late. I can’t back him to win but is a first four threat.

This is a rise in class for 11 Mister Dapper (Bet Now:  $SP.00) but he does look a very genuine animal that has won two on the bounce, the latest being at this track/distance three weeks ago when getting the beaut run in transit before angling clear and knuckling down with purpose late to score. Maps well again and I think he can measure up.

6 Huge Wave (Bet Now:  $SP.00) had done most of his racing at this track/distance but came back to 1400m last time where he got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he closed his race off in defeat. Back up in trip, Purton on, he rates highly.

1 The Golden Scenery (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been given a mini freshen up since racing over the mile at Happy Valley on June 11 when midfield and never really a factor. Recent trial was strong, he loves racing at Sha Tin…an improver at odds.

5 Super Infinity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should take beating here for Mark Newnham after racing at this track/distance a few weeks ago when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat when third. Purton on, can settle closer, hard to beat.

6 Little Paradise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t raced since June 8 when putting his undefeated record on the line but not much went right, jumping in the air as the gates opened and that sealed his fate. Trial since was strong, he can bounce back.

10 Metro Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after two runs over 1000m down the straight, the latest seeing him finish midfield behind Majestic Express. I think 1200m is okay for him and he has a good racing style. Definite improver.

9 Stellar Swift (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way in the last. His last couple of runs have come over the mile at Happy Valley, the latest seeing him run fifth when off speed and chased well enough in defeat. Like him back to 1400m at Sha Tin and he finds a winnable race. Happy to speck each way.

5 Beauty Bolt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a former Irish galloper that make his Hong Kong debut at this track/distance two weeks ago and was good, closing off Jocelyn from off speed to finish second. Fitter, Purton on, he rates highly.

2 Ghorgan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can be given a look at odds. He ran three weeks back at this track/distance when wide no cover, doing work and feeling the pinch late. I think with a more economical run in transit this time around, he can improve.
