11/6/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Happy Valley

Nine races will be run and won at Happy Valley on Wednesday night with good depth across the program.

5 Windicator Family (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play here in the opener. He’s racing really well at present, his latest run being three week sho at this track/distance when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort when second. Strikes a winnable race, in form, happy to be in his corner.

7 Podium (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is five weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when off speed snd did seem to have his chance but was close up and sound in his effort in defeat. Gets Purton on and the depth isn’t overly deep.

1 Phantom Cyclone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done his recent racing over the mile on the Sha Tin dirt so keen to see how he goes here. He hasn’t really fired a shot in recent times but drops to Class 5 company and any hint of his best would be good enough to threaten.

3 Happy United (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago when off speed and loomed to win when presented but just found one better in Lean Master. Tick over trial last week was sharp, he likes the track/distance, hard to beat I say.

2 Candlelight Dinner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited back to 1000m. He attempted to lead throughout over 1200m here three weeks ago and gave a strong kick from the front but couldn’t quite see it through and was nabbed late. Back in trip, good racing style, he rates highly.

9 Happy Boys (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope. He ran in the Lean Master race mentioned above. He got dragged back from the wide gate to last and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was pretty good in defeat. If he can settle closer in the run, he’s dangerous at odds.

2 Forerunner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the best horse in the race IMO. Just depends if he handles Happy Valley given this will be his first look at the track. His recent efforts have been quite good and is racing like the mile will suit. If he brings his best, I think he wins.

8 Soaring Bronco (Bet Now:  $SP.00) doesn’t win out of turn but he is a model of consistency that is rarely far away, as seen three weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and chased strongly but just couldn’t quite get there. He’ll be around the mark once again I am sure.

10 Smart City (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can definitely threaten. He ran over the mile at Sha Tin last start when back off speed from the inside gate and never really got into the contest. Think he is better suited at Happy Valley, I wouldn’t be dismissing him.

3 Gameplayer Elite (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He ran over this track/distance three weeks ago when off speed and kept chasing without threatening when a close up fifth to Thriving Brothers. Gets Bowman riding and from the gate, can settle much closer in the run.

1 Know At Heart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat. He ran four weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and worked home strongly in a good performance when third to Bienvenue. Maps to settle much closer in the run and be effective late.

7 Loveisintheair (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is capable with his best. He ran over 1200m at Sha Tin last time where he got a fair way out of his ground and did make up ground but was never really a winning threat. Maps ideally and prior efforts were sound.

1 Glorious Journey (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to resume a winner for Frankie Lor. He is first up, having not raced since Feb 12 over 1800m at Sha Tin when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick but just couldn’t quite see it through when third to Charming Steed. Given a good break, trialled well and gets Purton to ride.

2 Forever Glorious (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix after a placing at this track/distance four weeks ago. He tried to make a sustained run from off the speed and kept finding the line but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Sure Joyful. Good record here, he commands respect.

12 Sterling Wongchoy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and has to be respected after a track/distance win three weeks back, albeit in a Class 5, but he made a mess of them and was dominant. His confidence is up, he can go on with it.

4 Hong Lok Golf (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be winning if he handles Happy Valley. He has done his racing at Sha Tin and has been quite impressive, the latest win being over the mile on May 4. Tick over trial was very good and the depth here isn’t deep vs recent runs. Keen on his prospects.

5 Soleil Fighter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a great record here and commands respect if the fav is off his game. His latest run came over the mile on the Sha Tin dirt when getting the suck run in behind and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Maps ideally and Purton sticks.

1 Helene Feeling (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the same race that Soleil Fighter contested. I am not sure he was 100% happy on the dirt but he kept on and was far from disgraced in defeat. He saves his best for Happy Valley, he can run an improved race.

1 Galaxy Witness (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is yet to win in 11 starts at Happy Valley but I think that can change here. He ran over this track/distance four weeks ago when off speed and chased with purpose in the straight in a good effort, finishing second to King Lotus. Maps ideally, provided he uses the gate to advantage.

5 New Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That win came three weeks ago at this track/distance when near the speed before being clicked up by Yeung and he found under pressure to fend them off and score. He’s found form, he appeals.

9 Country Dancer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one I can entertain for exotics. He ran two weeks back at this track/distance when off speed and chased okay but was never really a winning threat behind Bits Superstar. Not sure I could back him to win but he can run top four.

2 Excellence Value (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am going. He is on the seven day back up after racing last Wednesday night at this track/distance behind Keefy where he got back and was never a factor, seemingly struggling on the wet ground. Should be a firmer deck and prior form was sound.

9 Samarkand (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well and can win. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago when off speed and did seem to have his chance but he battled away well enough in defeat behind Jumbo Legend. Maps ideally and does have a good track/distance record.

8 Lucky Touch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Jumbo Legend race from two weeks back mentioned above. He attempted to lead throughout and he gave a decent kick from the front but just felt the pinch late in the piece. I think with a bunny to chase, he’ll be more effective.

5 Nordic Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the get out. He ran over this track/distance four weeks ago where he got off speed and kept chasing but did seem to have his chance when fourth to Crimson Flash. He does love this track/distance, he’ll be strong late and strikes a winnable race IMO.

4 King Miles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win. He has been runner up his past three, all coming at this track/distance. His latest run, three weeks ago, saw him sit off speed and he loomed to win but just found one better. Tricky draw, but good lead that Zac sticks.

9 Everstar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for exotics. He ran over this track/distance three weeks back where he got into a decent spot near the speed and was there to threaten but just whacked to the line when fifth. Not sure I could back him to win but for multiples, he can be entertained.

NEXT BEST: Race Three Number 2 Forerunner

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 5 Nordic Dragon
