Group 1 winner Libertad will begin the next chapter of his career at Blue Gum Farm this spring after being announced as one of two new stallions joining the Victorian stud’s roster for the 2026 breeding season.
The Winterbottom Stakes winner will stand alongside fellow newcomer Coleman, with the pair strengthening Blue Gum Farm’s stallion lineup near Euroa.
Libertad, the first Group 1 winner to race in the Trilogy silks of Jason and Mel Stenning, will stand at a service fee of $9,900 (inc. GST).
Coleman, who was the first colt home in the 2024 Golden Slipper, will commence his stud career at a fee of $7,700 (inc. GST).
The pair joins established stallions Flying Artie and Oxley Road on Blue Gum Farm’s four-strong roster.
Jason Stenning said securing Libertad was a significant milestone for the operation.
“We are extremely proud to stand the first Group 1 winner to race in our silks.
“Securing Libertad, despite strong competition, marks a significant win for the farm as we continue to strengthen an already respected and successful stallion roster,” Stenning said.
The additions further enhance Blue Gum Farm’s stallion offering as the Victorian operation continues to expand its presence in the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry.
