The latest foal of racing legend Winx, a colt by champion sire Snitzel, is “going brilliantly,” according to part-owner Debbie Kepitis. Born in November, the colt has displayed a spirited nature, with Kepitis describing him as “a bit of a feisty thing.” She added, “He wants more from mum. She gives him the back ears and a leg touch. They’re going brilliantly.”
The colt follows a tumultuous chapter in Winx’s breeding journey after the loss of her first foal in 2020. His half-sister, Quinceañera (by Pierro), made headlines when Kepitis repurchased her for a record $10 million at the Sydney yearling sale in 2024.
Kepitis shared the update while attending Karaka Millions Day in New Zealand, where her homebred Konasana secured a win. The Snitzel colt’s early progress adds another exciting chapter to Winx’s legacy as a broodmare.
Debbie Kepitis is thrilled to win in New Zeland with Konasana 🙂
