Winx's sister will not go through the sales ring

The little sister to Champion mare Winx will not be sold with connections opting to keep her.

Winx’s mum Vegas Showgirl gave birth to a filly by Deep Impact last month in which connections were undecided whether she would go through the ring or not but the decision has been made that they will keep and race her.

Deep Impact who recently died is touted as one of the best sires of his generation so the regally bred filly was said to be worth approx $6m if she was to be sold.

Vegas Showgirl will be served by I Am Invincible for this breeding season.

Winx has also been served by I Am Invincible with connections waiting to see if the four time Cox Plate winner has become pregnant.
