Champion mare Winx showed she was on track to remain unbeaten in her final preparation with a hard held third in a Rosehill barrier trial this morning.
Winx jumped well and sat mid field before jockey Hugh Bowman gave her slightly more reign in the straight which saw her attack the line well under a hold to finish third behind Spright and Cool Passion.
Bowman says she feels as good as ever as she prepares for her return in the Apollo Stakes at Randwick on February 16th.
Tuesday’s trial is her second this month with the mare expected to run in four races in what will be her final campaign.
