Team Snowden took their massively talented but luckless 3YO filly Stellar Pauline (Not A Single Doubt-Negotiate) to Hawkesbury today….and she finally bolted in.
Sent around surprising odds against, Stellar Pauline sat behind the speed all the way, then the leader rolled off on the bend and she shot through, racing away to win easily.
The filly had been stakes placed twice with a 2nd placing in the $2million Magic Millions Classic behind Away Game, but had not won in five starts.
She should have been $1.40 and won like won by just over 3 lengths untouched.
“We just needed to give her a confidence booster and on a track that wasn’t going to be too hard on her,” said Paul Snowden.
“She got that today and everyone should be happy with her now.
“They generally go on with it once they get that confidence. We’ll take her home, see how she eats up and work out a program for her but she is very good and we’ll work at tracks, distance and what the Covid is doing.”
Stellar Pauline has now won $570,000. She beat Not Another Reiby who led and fought on well and Princess Glamour.
Eye See Things was unplaced and it was heavily tried late in betting allowing Stellar Pauline to get out to black odds.
