Amelia’s Jewel made a compelling case for her upcoming campaign with a triumphant trial win this morning at Lark Hill.
Trained by Simon Miller, she showcased her elite form, igniting speculation on her path for the remainder of the season.
Miller is yet to finalise whether the talented mare will take on the prestigious Cox Plate or set her sights on the lucrative $10 million Golden Eagle in Sydney.
The strategy is expected to come into sharper focus as Amelia’s Jewel kicks off her season in the Let’s Elope Stakes, a 1400m race at Flemington on September 16.
Following that, she is scheduled to compete in the Stock Stakes, a 1600m event at Moonee Valley, before advancing to the Group 1 Toorak Handicap.
With betting markets already buzzing, Amelia’s Jewel is currently priced at $8 for the King Charles III, $15 for the Cox Plate, and an enticing $4.50 for the Golden Eagle.
Today’s commanding performance at Lark Hill undeniably amplifies her standing as a strong contender in these prestigious races.
