Promising three-year-old Beyond Question will continue his career in Hong Kong after being sold following his success at the two-day Albury Cup carnival.
The son of Russian Camelot enhanced his reputation as an emerging talent with a convincing performance in the $80,000 Albury Guineas, delivering victory for Ballarat-based trainer Patrick Kearney.
His win followed a strong effort earlier in the preparation when he finished in the placings in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes at Flemington in February, which came at just his second start at the races.
“This is the first (horse) that I’ve actually traded. So, it’s been an interesting process,” Kearney told Racing.com.
“Hopefully, he can just go over there and run well. It would be pretty cool to see him go out there and win a (Hong Kong) Derby or something like that.”
Kearney secured Beyond Question alongside bloodstock agent Sheamus Mills for $40,000 at the 2024 Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne.
