Victorian jumps jockey Braidon Small is in an induced coma at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne after a fall at Pakenham on Sunday.
Braidon was put in an induced coma after suffering bleeding to the brain following a fall on Startierra in a 3200-metre hurdle event at Pakenham on Sunday.
Small is one of the states brightest young jumps jockeys with his biggest win coming aboard Two Hats in the Galleywood Hurdle at Warrnambool last year.
